I’ll be honest – the elevator’s a bit slow, and during Tet season this place gets absolutely packed, so book early if you’re planning around holidays. But there’s something about 22 Land that just works. Maybe it’s how the front desk staff genuinely seems to care about whether you find good pho, or how they’ll actually call you a taxi instead of just waving vaguely toward the street. The breakfast spread is solid too – proper Vietnamese options alongside the usual international stuff, and they make fresh spring rolls that put most restaurant versions to shame. You’re also perfectly positioned here for exploring beyond the tourist bubble. The French Quarter’s close enough for those must-see moments, but you’re staying where actual Hanoi residents live and work. I found myself just wandering the side streets around the hotel, discovering tiny temples squeezed between apartment buildings and coffee shops where I was clearly the only non-Vietnamese person for blocks.
