Amour Resort Bavi Overview
You know what struck me first about Amour Resort Bavi? It’s actually tucked right into Ba Vi National Park – I mean, you’re literally surrounded by forest, which is pretty wild considering you’re only about an hour from Hanoi’s chaos. The drive up there winds through some seriously lush countryside, and honestly, by the time you pull into their parking area, you’ve already started to decompress.
The resort itself has this sort of mountain lodge vibe going on, though don’t expect rustic cabins or anything. It’s definitely polished – 4-star polished – but they’ve managed to keep it from feeling too sterile. The rooms are spacious (thank god, because Vietnamese hotels can be hit or miss on space), and most have these floor-to-ceiling windows that look out into the forest canopy. I stayed there during the rainy season last year, and honestly? Falling asleep to actual rain on leaves instead of motorbike engines was incredible. The air conditioning works well too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re doing any hiking in the park.
What really sets this place apart is the location within Ba Vi itself. Most people don’t realize that Ba Vi National Park is actually huge – like, you could spend days exploring it – and Amour Resort is positioned perfectly for the serious trails without being completely isolated from civilization. The staff actually knows the hiking routes, which is refreshing because usually hotel staff just smile and nod when you ask about outdoor activities. They’ll tell you which trails are muddy, where to spot the best wildlife (early morning near the stream behind the resort), and honestly, their timing advice saved me from getting caught in a proper downpour. The resort restaurant isn’t half bad either – they do this mountain goat curry that’s apparently a regional thing, though I can’t vouch for its authenticity since I’m not exactly a Ba Vi local.
Check-in was smooth, parking is free and actually spacious enough for larger vehicles (important if you’re road-tripping), and the wifi works well enough for basic stuff, though don’t expect to stream movies. The pool area gets pretty busy on weekends when Hanoi families come up for day trips, but weekday mornings you’ll basically have it to yourself. One small thing – the walls aren’t super thick, so if you’re a light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs just in case you get neighbors who don’t realize sound carries. But that’s pretty minor considering you’re paying significantly less than you would for comparable places closer to Hanoi, and you’re getting genuine nature access instead of just a view of it from your window.

BEAUTIFUL. Just absolutely wow. Never got tired of the views, the resort is really well taken care of. It is in a more remote location, but that’s kind of the point. We hired a driver for the day to take us to all the highlights within the national park, which was worth it. There was practically no tourists at all (saw maybe 2-3 throughout our stay and visits). 100% recommend for 2-3 days, just to relax. Staff is super nice. Although their English isn’t very strong, they go out of their way to help you and we used Google translate at certain moments and that worked perfect.
What could be improved: Nothing, we liked every single part 🙂Yazan from Qatar – 6 April 2025 (9/10)
Place to relax with nature , very beautiful and quiet , indoor warm pool is nice for kids , location is 1.40 hours far from Hanoi , only one resturent there tart is ok as the only Resturent😜. Staff is very very friendly , night little nothing to do for kids recommend to hotel management to add more activity for kids to enjoy the time after sunset

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, always ready to help with a smile, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing everything needed for a relaxing stay. But the highlight was definitely the location — nestled right in the middle of the forest, it offered stunning natural surroundings, fresh air, and total peace and quiet. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature. Highly recommended.

Lovely staff. Food at the restaurant was good. Beautiful surroundings. The little garden seating looking over the valley was top notch.
What could be improved: We were there on Fri and Sat nights and both nights have outdoor music events, which is nice I think. But the speaker was wayyyyy too loud! No soundproof wall or anything so even in the room you can hear the bass thumping. Couldn't relax and also can't escape 🙁 Also the resort locates quite close to a camping area and you can hear the noise + smell the fumes from vehicles.Beverley from New Zealand – 1 January 2025 (8/10)
Friendly, helpful staff, gorgeous gardens and lovely heated swimming pool.
Escojido from Belgium – 4 December 2024 (7/10)
Joli resort au calme dans la montagne.
Jardins bien tenus, piscine agréable, jolie chambre donnant sur un beau paysage.
Décoration soignée dans des matériaux naturels.
What could be improved: Restaurant très médiocre.
Cuisine décevante, petit déjeuner servi à table avec peu d’options.
Le personnel ne parle pas l’anglais et malgré sa bonne volonté et son attitude souriante beaucoup d’erreurs et d’approximations dans le service.Carlos from United States – 7 July 2024 (7/10)
Lovely location, beautiful scenery!
What could be improved: Giant spiders kept getting into our room. Food at restaurant could have been better. They didn’t know how to make a latte even though they had a great Italian espresso machine.Ronald from United Kingdom – 1 April 2024 (9/10)
Excellent choice for breakfast

Good air, lots of greenery around you, perfect place for a relaxing weekend. Our room was very big, the decoration and colours are simply beautiful. The garden of the hotel is amazing, huge, lush green.
Gao from Vietnam – 2 January 2024 (9/10)
This is a new hotel, very good decorating design. We like the style and the color matching with the nature.
What could be improved: Still can be improved in sustainable services.
