It’s tucked away in what locals call the diplomatic quarter, which means you’re getting that quieter Hanoi vibe without being stuck in tourist central. The building itself has this modern apartment-style setup that makes way more sense than cramped hotel rooms – I mean, you’ve got actual space to spread out, and the kitchen situation is clutch if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights.

What really got me was how the staff seemed to know their stuff about the neighborhood. The front desk guy – I think his name was Minh – didn’t just hand me a generic city map. He actually marked up spots where I could grab decent bánh mì without the tourist markup, and pointed out which direction to walk to hit the lake loop in the mornings before it gets crazy busy. You know what’s funny? The elevator makes this weird humming sound that I thought would drive me nuts, but honestly, it becomes kind of comforting after a day or two. The rooms themselves are clean and spacious – not fancy, but everything works properly, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed. The air conditioning actually cools the room down (revolutionary concept, right?), and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes.

Here’s the thing about this area though – it’s not walking distance to the Old Quarter, but that’s actually a blessing in disguise. You’re close enough to grab a taxi or motorcycle ride when you want the chaos, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night without street noise. The neighborhood has this residential feel where you’ll see families out walking in the evenings, and there’s a decent little market about ten minutes away where prices are normal, not inflated for foreigners. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in Hanoi will tell you is basically a miracle. The 8.7 rating makes sense – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it nails the fundamentals and gives you a genuine feel for how people actually live in this part of the city. If you’re the type who wants to experience Hanoi beyond the tourist bubble but still needs your creature comforts, this spot hits that sweet spot.

  Location was close to extended family.
  
  What could be improved: Whilst the apartment was of high quality, it was not fitted out well for short term stays. No toaster, no proper bath towels, no toilet paper, limited cutlery, no tea or coffee, no mugs / cups. Luckily for us, our extended family provided.

  Căn hộ rộng rãi tiện nghi mà lại rất sạch sẽ, check in check out dễ dàng. Xung quanh thoáng mát. Không gian quá là rộng. Bé nhà mình bò khắp nhà luôn ạ😅 Cả nhà mình ai cũng ưng ý với căn hộ này. Sẽ quay lại book vào lần tiếp theo khi đến HN. Giá hợp lí với cả gia đình nha❤️❤️
