The city view they mention is legit – from what I could see, you’re looking out over the mix of old tube houses and newer apartment blocks that makes this part of town so interesting. The apartment itself feels more spacious than most hotel rooms you’ll find in the city center, and honestly, having a kitchenette was clutch for making coffee the way I like it (Vietnamese coffee is amazing, but sometimes you just want your regular morning routine). The whole setup feels like staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room. I mean, the furnishing is modern enough, clean lines and all that, but there are little touches that make it feel lived-in rather than staged. The Wi-Fi actually works well – I was doing video calls without issues, which isn’t always a given in Hanoi.

What really sold me on this spot was how easy it made exploring different parts of the city. You’re about a 15-minute taxi ride from Hoan Kiem Lake, but you can also walk to some great local spots that most tourists never see. There’s this little bun cha place about three blocks away that doesn’t have an English menu but serves some of the best grilled pork I had during my whole trip. The neighborhood has that perfect balance where you feel like you’re experiencing authentic Hanoi life, but you’re not completely cut off from tourist infrastructure when you need it. Parking seemed straightforward if you’re renting a motorbike – though honestly, in this area, walking and grabbing xe om (motorbike taxis) worked perfectly for me. The building’s pretty quiet at night, which was nice after long days of sightseeing. Check-in was smooth, and the host actually gave me some solid recommendations for places to eat nearby that weren’t just the usual tourist spots. For the price point and the experience of staying somewhere that feels genuinely local rather than designed for Instagram, this place hits the mark.
