The building sits right on Minh Khai street, and you know what? That Times City complex is basically like a mini-city within the city. I mean, you’ve got everything from decent coffee shops to that massive Vincom Mega Mall literally connected to your building, which is pretty convenient when you’re dealing with Hanoi’s unpredictable weather.

The apartment itself feels properly lived-in rather than sterile – there’s this cozy vibe that you don’t always get with these corporate rental setups. The one bedroom is actually spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase every morning, and the kitchen area is functional if you want to grab some pho from downstairs and eat it properly at a real table instead of crouched on your bed. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being in such a busy area – the Times City development has pretty solid sound insulation, so you’re not dealing with the constant motorbike symphony that echoes through some parts of Hai Ba Trung district. The 7.4 rating makes sense to me because while everything works well and it’s clean, it’s not trying to be fancy. It’s just… comfortable, you know?

Here’s the thing that really won me over though – the location is genuinely smart for exploring Hanoi without feeling like a complete tourist. You’re close enough to walk to Vincom Times City when you need familiar international brands or a proper grocery run, but you can also hop on a xe om and be in the Old Quarter in about 15 minutes when traffic cooperates (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always). The Minh Khai area has this nice mix of local life and expat-friendly spots – there’s a Circle K right downstairs for late-night snack runs, and I found this little bun cha place about two blocks away that absolutely nobody writes about online but serves some of the best I had during my whole stay. The building management is actually responsive too, which matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a couple nights. Is it perfect? Well, the elevator can be slow during peak hours when all the residents are coming and going, and the wifi occasionally hiccups, but honestly those are pretty minor complaints for what you’re getting at this price point in this part of the city.

  Die Lage zum Krankenhaus war super nah, sehr viel Platz und Möglichkeiten innerhalb der Wohnung, die Kommunikation mit dem Besitzer war super schnell, ehrlich und gut. Coole Umgebung.
  
  What could be improved: Es hat sehr streng gerochen, ich vermute stark dass das Schimmel war.. man sah ihn überall. Die Duschkabine zB war wirklich alles andere als sauber und auch hier alle Fugen verschimmelt..
