Dream Premium Hotel & Spa Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Dream Premium Hotel & Spa? Walking in from the chaos of Phố Cửa Nam – and honestly, that street can be pretty hectic with all the motorbikes – the lobby actually feels like stepping into a different world. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, but somehow they’ve managed to create this surprisingly peaceful bubble right in the heart of Old Quarter madness.
The spa part isn’t just marketing fluff, which I was honestly expecting. They’ve got this whole floor dedicated to treatments, and after spending a day dodging traffic and wandering through the weekend night market (which gets absolutely packed, by the way), that massage hit different. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but the beds are actually comfortable and the AC works properly, which matters more than you think during Hanoi’s sticky summer months. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re surrounded by the Old Quarter’s usual symphony of honking and late-night pho vendors. The windows do their job well.
Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re there – yes, you’re close to all the tourist spots (Hoan Kiem is right there, Dong Xuan Market is maybe a 10-minute walk), but you’re also in prime position for some of the best street food that tourists usually miss. There’s this little bun cha place just around the corner that locals actually eat at, not the touristy one everyone talks about. The hotel staff – and this surprised me – actually knew about spots like this and weren’t just pushing the usual recommendations. Check-in was smooth, none of that awkward waiting around while they figure out your reservation, and they speak solid English if your Vietnamese is as terrible as mine. The breakfast spread is decent, though honestly, you’re better off grabbing pho on the street for half the price and twice the flavor. One small thing that bugged me was the elevator situation during busy times – there’s only two and they’re kind of slow, so if you’re on the higher floors and in a rush, plan accordingly. But look, for the money and that 8.2 rating, it makes sense. You’re getting reliable comfort in one of the most convenient spots in Hanoi without paying resort prices, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you want to explore the city but also have a proper place to crash and recharge.

What could be improved: nothing that i didnt likeVeronica from United States – 22 May 2025 (7/10)
The property is well located near the old quarter, but not in the middle of it. They also help you organize any travel activities (like tours to Ha Long bay or Ninh Bihn), and the staff speaks English.
Breakfast is very good! And the bathroom was very newly renovated and nice.
What could be improved: Hot water in the shower ran out after 5 minutes or so (staff didn’t do anything about it), and the bed was not comfortable. The bathroom window didn’t have a glass, it was just an empty frame to an inner courtyard which made it more noisy. The doors were very thin, you could hear everything passing by and noises from other rooms.Christos from Greece – 18 May 2025 (9/10)
What could be improved: the laundry service, i had my trousers returned with the same stains
Josh from United Kingdom – 11 May 2025 (8/10)
Good location, tasty breakfast (especially the beef Pho!) and fantastic staff. My bag was delayed at the airport and they were very helpful in receiving it.
What could be improved: Lots of traffic noise and limited hot water in the shower.Niamh from Ireland – 11 May 2025 (9/10)
Very nice hotel, comfortable bed, staff were very nice and helpful. Laundry service is great

Owen made us feel very welcome. Great central location.
Geri from South Korea – 18 April 2025 (9/10)
The staff here were incredible. I got a bout of vertigo which meant I was unable to leave when I was meant to. The staff and Mr. Long were amazing! They helped me book an extra night, got me some food, made sure I had water, and were even willing to call a doctor in. As a solo traveler suddenly getting the spins, having the staff step in and help out really made me feel safe and comfortable. Their moto is true… It is like a home in Hanoi.
Additionally, for those that hate the hard bed situation in Asia, the beds here were not that 🙂 the bed was very comfortable, not hard at all.
Anyway a great place to stay!Laura from France – 4 April 2025 (9/10)
decent size room clean and comfy, there’s a few hygiene products like shampoo/ body wash, toothbrush/toothpaste. breakfast is good and location central
I would stay here again 🙂Mary from United Kingdom – 3 April 2025 (9/10)

Alister from United Kingdom – 24 February 2025 (9/10)
All staff very friendly and helpful.
Great location for walking.
Excellent breakfast, plenty of cooked options and rice noodle fruit toast buffet style.
Very clean and serviced each day if you want.
It can be a little noisy in the corridors, but we found it’s the other guests so there’s not much can be done about it.
