You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name is absolutely terrible – I mean, “Entireplace*2Br/Bathtub/SuperCenter*New*” sounds like someone had a stroke while writing an Airbnb listing. But honestly, don’t let that fool you because this little gem on Hang Bong Street is actually something special.

I’ve stayed in probably a dozen places around Hoan Kiem over the years, and this one’s got that sweet spot figured out. You’re literally a three-minute walk from the lake – and I mean the good side, not where all the tour buses dump people. The building itself is tucked between one of those narrow tailor shops (the kind where they’ll whip up a suit in 24 hours) and a tiny café that does incredible egg coffee. The bathtub they mention in that ridiculous name? Yeah, it’s real, and after walking around Hanoi’s crazy streets all day, you’ll actually appreciate having somewhere to soak. Most places this central, you’re lucky to get a decent shower.

What really won me over was how quiet it stays despite being right in the thick of things. The Old Quarter can get pretty intense – motorbikes honking at all hours, street vendors calling out, that whole beautiful chaos thing Hanoi does so well. But somehow this spot manages to buffer most of that noise. I think it’s because Hang Bong is just residential enough that it doesn’t get the worst of the party crowd, but you’re still close enough to walk to Bia Hoi Corner in about eight minutes (yes, I timed it). The staff actually knows the neighborhood too, which is rarer than you’d think. They pointed me toward this incredible bun cha place that I never would’ve found on my own – no English sign, just locals packed in there at lunch.

The two-bedroom setup works well if you’re traveling with friends or family, though honestly, even solo travelers might appreciate the extra space. Everything feels genuinely new, not just “we slapped some fresh paint on old furniture” new. The kitchen’s small but functional, which matters because sometimes you just want to grab some fruit from the weekend market and make coffee without dealing with restaurant breakfast. Check-in was smooth – they had my booking ready and didn’t do that thing where they try to upsell you on tours immediately.

Look, I’m not saying this place is perfect. The elevator’s tiny (though it exists, which puts it ahead of most Old Quarter spots), and if you’re expecting resort-style amenities, you’re in the wrong neighborhood entirely. But that 9.7 rating isn’t just people being nice – it reflects what you actually get for the price point. You’re paying for location, cleanliness, and that increasingly rare thing in tourist areas: authenticity. When I left, I actually saved their contact info, which tells you something. In a city where new hotels pop up every month, finding one that feels like a discovery rather than just another booking is worth writing home about.

  I loved this place and would book it again. It's spacious and clean. A great location near famous sights and lots of shops.

  It's a clean, well-furnished place in a great location. It's just off of a busy street, but amazingly quiet inside. The host was very accommodating and helpful.

  This is a wonderful place to stay in Hanoi. never expect so good until we see the rooms. The owner was very good & kind. He explained everything & on time to hand over the key. rooms are very spacious & clean. The whole place is charming & great place to stay for anyone. My kids like so much of this place. Just keep some coffee then guests can enjoy it too. Also Thanks a lot for the 2 TVs. kids & adults can watch it separately without disturb…:) The location is also very convenient.
