The location is honestly perfect if you want to experience real Hanoi without feeling overwhelmed. You’re a two-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, which means you can do that early morning walk around the water with all the locals doing tai chi (seriously, do this – it’s magical). But here’s what most people don’t realize: Bat Su Street connects you to some of the best street food spots that tourists usually miss. There’s this bun cha place about fifty meters down that doesn’t even have a sign, and the hotel staff will actually tell you about places like this instead of just directing you to the touristy spots. I mean, they helped me find where to get the best banh mi at 6 AM when I had an early flight. The 9.3 rating makes sense when you experience little touches like that – it’s not just about fancy amenities, it’s about people who actually care about your experience in their city.
