You’re literally a three-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, but you’re on Nam Ngu Street which means you get the authentic neighborhood vibe without the tourist crowds right outside your door. I mean, step out in the morning and there’s this incredible local coffee shop where office workers grab their ca phe sua da — that’s the real Hanoi experience right there. The four-star property sits perfectly between the lake and the weekend night market, so you can easily walk to everything that matters without dealing with the main tourist drags.

The Room Experience

My room was on the fourth floor, and I’ll be honest — it was more spacious than I expected for central Hanoi. The design strikes this nice balance between Vietnamese touches and modern comfort, with dark wood furniture and these lovely silk accents that don’t feel overdone. The air conditioning actually works (which isn’t always a given in this climate), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that made me want to stay in longer than I should have. The windows open onto the street below, so you get these wonderful glimpses of daily life — motorbikes weaving past, vendors calling out, that sort of thing.

Practical Perks

Here’s something that surprised me — they actually have free parking on site, which is practically unheard of in this part of town. If you’re planning to rent a motorbike (and you should), this is a huge advantage. The breakfast spread isn’t massive, but it’s thoughtfully done with both Vietnamese and Western options — the pho was legitimately good, not the watered-down hotel version you sometimes get. The staff speak excellent English and seem genuinely eager to help with directions, recommendations, or booking tours without being pushy about it.

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both central and peaceful — you’re in the thick of things when you want to be, but you can retreat to genuine quiet when you need it.   The apartment was spacious, modern, and exactly as pictured—clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed. The air conditioning was a welcome relief from the Hanoi heat, and the hot water supply was consistent, even with two people showering back-to-back. We especially appreciated the brand-new washer and dryer, which made doing laundry during our stay incredibly convenient.
  
  The location is fantastic—tucked away on a side street lined with cafés. Hanoi’s main train station is just a 3-minute walk, and the famous “Train Street” is no more than 5 minutes away on foot. The vibrant Old Quarter is about a 15-minute walk or a quick, inexpensive Grab ride. Hoa Lo Prison (the “Hanoi Hilton”) is also just a few minutes’ walk from the apartment.
  
  Communication with our host was excellent. They were very responsive on WhatsApp, with clear and timely messages before and throughout our stay.

  We had an incredible time at this apartment. An is an excellent host and always responds whenever she can. She accommodated our request to checkin early at a minimal fee. Location was superb, you can walk around the area and would have a lot of options to grab food and coffee. Bed is really comfy, we had a great sleep. Will definitely book this unit again if we ever go back to Hanoi.
