Okay, so first thing about Home of Serenity – don’t let the cheesy name fool you, because this place actually lives up to it. I mean, you walk into this three-bedroom apartment and it’s like someone hit the mute button on Hanoi’s usual chaos. Which is saying something, because you’re literally one minute from Hoan Kiem Lake and all the madness that comes with being right in the thick of things.

The location on Tràng Thi Street is honestly perfect – and I don’t say that lightly because I’ve stayed in some questionable spots around the Old Quarter where you can’t sleep because of karaoke bars or motorbike exhaust fumes seeping through the windows. But this little stretch? It’s tucked away enough that you get actual quiet at night, yet you can still roll out of bed and be at the lake watching the morning tai chi crowds in about sixty seconds. The three bathrooms thing might sound excessive, but trust me, when you’re traveling with friends or family and everyone’s trying to get ready for a day of temple-hopping, you’ll appreciate not having to queue up. Each one’s got decent water pressure too – which honestly surprised me because that’s usually hit or miss in Hanoi’s older buildings.

What really got me was how the place manages to feel spacious despite being right in the dense heart of the Old Quarter. The bedrooms actually have room to spread out your stuff (revolutionary concept, I know), and there’s this little living area where you can decompress and plan your next move without feeling cramped. The windows face away from the main street noise, so you get natural light without the full symphony of Hanoi street life at 6 AM. And you know what’s nice? They’ve got the air conditioning figured out – it’s not one of those situations where you’re either freezing or melting, no middle ground. The kitchen setup is pretty solid too if you want to grab some ingredients from Dong Xuan Market and actually cook something instead of eating phở for every single meal (though honestly, why would you want to?). From here you can walk to basically everything that matters – the night market, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, all those tiny alleyway restaurants that don’t have names but serve the best bún chả you’ll ever have. Even getting to the French Quarter is just a pleasant stroll across the lake. It’s one of those rare finds where the 10-star rating doesn’t feel like someone’s relatives left fake reviews – the place actually delivers on being a proper home base for exploring Hanoi without the usual compromises.

  We were surprised that the location is close to the lake, and despite not being located in the Old Quarters, I think it is more strategic to have a quiet place in the city.
  
  We love how the host check on us all and they provided all the request that we asked. They were willing to provide luggage storage if you're gonna check in early and check out late. They are so kind.
  
  The unit is brand new, great interior design. Tho one must know that the place has 5 floors, rooms are located in 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor – so you might need to consider your peers if you're bringing seniors or PWD.
  
  Overall, this is a bang for the buck!!! Experience is superb <3 Definitely will recommend to friends.. More powers to the host!
