The evening street food scene on nearby Dien Bien Phu gets pretty lively – nothing fancy, just honest good eating. I spent a couple mornings walking around Ba Dinh’s tree-lined streets with coffee from the hotel, and it felt refreshingly normal compared to the organized chaos of central Hanoi. The hotel’s restaurant is actually solid too, especially for breakfast – they do this Vietnamese-Western hybrid menu that doesn’t feel forced, and the coffee is strong enough to properly wake you up. Parking was easier than expected (they’ve got a small lot), and the Wi-Fi reached my room on the fourth floor without any drama. Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with flashy amenities, but sometimes you just want a place that gets the basics really right while giving you easy access to explore the city. That 9.5 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s the kind of place where everything works like it should, the location grows on you, and you’d genuinely book it again.
