What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – these residential lanes don’t have the motorbike symphony that never stops in busier parts of Hanoi, though you’ll still hear the city humming in the distance.

Here’s the thing about staying in a residential building though – the check-in process requires a bit more coordination than your standard hotel desk situation, so definitely communicate your arrival time ahead of schedule. The elevator is one of those compact Vietnamese lifts that fits maybe two people and their luggage if everyone’s feeling friendly. But honestly, these minor logistics fade pretty quickly when you’re paying significantly less than comparable hotels while getting more space and a genuine neighborhood experience. The 4-star rating feels accurate – it’s got all the essentials covered well without any fancy extras you probably wouldn’t use anyway. I actually found myself spending more time exploring the immediate area than I usually do because there’s something appealing about temporarily living like a Hanoi resident rather than just passing through as a tourist. Plus, there’s a decent coffee shop literally around the corner where the owner remembered my order by day three, which sort of sums up the whole experience – it’s that sweet spot between comfort and authenticity that’s surprisingly hard to find.

  Aquest apartament ha superat les nostres expectatives! No sabíem què ens trobaríem per les poques ressenyes, i especialment molt poques d'occidentals, però ha sigut genial. L'apartament compleix els standards occidentals, és un dels millors allotjaments on hem estat, qualitat/preu molt bona. Comunicació fluïda i facilitat tant pel checkin com el checkout (tant amb els empleats com amb la persona que gestiona). Es nota que tenen cura dels detalls. Molt net (neteja diària i bugada inclosa en el preu), tal qual a les fotografies (o millor!), tot molt nou, llum natural, sofà llit i cadires còmodes, mampara de dutxa, armaris amplis, ben decorat i amb tot el necessari per viure-hi, cuinar (cuina ben equipada), treballar… el barri és agradable (barri japonès) ple de bons restaurants, cafeteries, paradetes, supermercats… tranquil i a 15min en cotxe del centre.
