I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from West Lake, which honestly beats staying in the Old Quarter if you want to jog or just sit somewhere peaceful in the morning. The building itself looks pretty standard from the outside, but once you’re inside, there’s this clean, modern vibe that feels more like a well-designed apartment than a typical hotel room. The kitchen setup is legit too – not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but actual counter space where you could prep food if you hit up the weekend market nearby.

What I really appreciated was how the staff actually knew the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the Temple of Literature, the guy at the front desk didn’t just hand me a tourist map – he told me which bus to catch right outside and mentioned that the coffee place two doors down makes better cà phê sữa đá than the touristy spots. The apartment-style rooms are spacious enough that you don’t feel cramped after a long day of walking around Hanoi’s humidity, and honestly, the air conditioning works well (which isn’t always a given). The bathroom’s got good water pressure, though I’ll say the shower space is a bit tight – not a dealbreaker, just something to know if you’re tall. There’s decent soundproofing too, which matters because Vietnamese cities can get pretty lively at night.

The location thing is where this place really shines, though. You’re far enough from the backpacker chaos of the Old Quarter to actually sleep, but close enough that a taxi or Grab takes maybe ten minutes to get you there. Plus, being on the Tây Hồ side means you can walk to some really solid local restaurants – there’s this bún chả place about five minutes away that doesn’t have English signs but serves food that’ll ruin you for the tourist versions. The 8.5 rating makes sense to me because it delivers on what it promises without trying to be fancy. It’s clean, functional, the WiFi actually works for video calls, and the price point feels fair for what you get. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I was staying more than just a couple nights and wanted to feel less like a tourist passing through.

  Spacious room with panoramic view. Bathroom facilities in good condition. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great value. Breakfast (included) had many options. The 7 Bridges brew pub next door has good beer and a nice vibe for those missing the US. The sticky rice breakfast choice is a winner. Neighborhood is where many ex pats live but also away from the tourist quarter.
  
  What could be improved: To be picky, the western style breakfast was not great (need more research into “toast with butter and jam”. And the bahn mi choice really should have a bun.

  The hotel was truly an ideal choice for our vacation. The rooms were very specious and comfortable for my mother-in-law & for us. The space around the hotel is very bustling. The panoramic view of the lake was beautiful.
  Every member of staff went above and beyond ensuring our stay was the best. Hoang Ann, the front desk staff arranged our round trip transportation from hotel to Ha Long bay which was cheaper than ordering through the cruise ship.
  
  What could be improved: Bathrooms don’t have hand soap. No paper towel, trash can, and not enough utensils in kitchen. Safe lock didn’t work.

  Very welcoming staff who go above and beyond to help you. Comfortable and spacious room, and copious breakfast! The hotel is in a less touristy area, away from the noise, but the neighborhood still has plenty to offer: monuments, shops, restaurants, massage places…
