The sunlight situation is legit – by afternoon, the whole place feels warm and bright without being overwhelming, and there’s enough space to work if you need to (decent WiFi, though it can get spotty during the evening rush when everyone’s streaming). The building’s pretty well-maintained too, not like some of the newer places in the area that look good online but fall apart when you touch anything. Check-in was straightforward, no drama with keys or confusing instructions. It’s got that solid 4-star feel without any pretentious nonsense – clean, comfortable, and the kind of place where everything just works. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you factor in that view and the fact that you’re getting genuine space in one of Hanoi’s most liveable neighborhoods.   I luckily bumped into the host and he gave the key to me directly. However, he had given me the detailed instructions beforehand. The layout (structure) of the gate is, in my opinion, unique in Vietnam and I might have struggled a bit without the host’s help.
  
  What could be improved: The room smelled a bit weird (moldy?) possibly because of the high humidity – although this is common in the entire region. It was good to have body soap and shampoo but labels on each bottle would have helped more. 2-3 bottle of water with extra costs would have been nice, considering that the tap water is not readily drinkable.

  There were long hairs in the bathroom.

  The entrance to the building has lock that makes it so inconvenient to get inside.
