The staff speaks enough English to handle most situations, though don’t expect long conversations about restaurant recommendations.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, despite being in the city center. Ba Dinh district has this residential calm that’s hard to find in other parts of Hanoi, especially compared to the Old Quarter madness.
