The thing is, Duy Tan Street is honestly one of those streets that locals use as a shortcut between the chaos of Kim Ma and the newer developments heading toward Keangnam Tower, so you’re right in the mix without being stuck in Old Quarter tourist madness. There’s this little coffee shop about two blocks down that serves proper ca phe sua da at 6 AM when the office workers are rushing by, and honestly, that’s when you know you’re in a real neighborhood. The hotel staff actually knows about places like that – when I asked about good local breakfast, they didn’t just point me toward some overpriced hotel restaurant but gave me three different options within walking distance, including one place that makes incredible banh cuon that I never would have found on my own.

What really surprised me was how quiet the rooms are, considering you’re basically in the middle of Hanoi’s business district. I stayed on the fifth floor and could barely hear the motorbike traffic, which if you know Hanoi, is pretty remarkable. The residence part means some units have little kitchenettes, which is actually perfect if you’re staying more than a few days – there’s a decent market about ten minutes’ walk where you can grab fresh fruit and those little yogurt drinks that somehow taste better here than anywhere else. The whole setup feels more like having a well-appointed apartment than being stuck in a hotel box, you know?

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no hovering around a marble lobby feeling awkward, just efficient people who clearly deal with both business travelers and tourists without making either group feel out of place. The building itself has this sort of understated thing going on, clean lines but not sterile, and the elevator actually works reliably (again, if you’ve stayed in Hanoi before, you’ll appreciate this detail). I honestly think the 9.8 rating makes sense when you factor in location, the fact that everything just works properly, and how the staff seems to genuinely know the neighborhood rather than just reciting rehearsed recommendations. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because it feels less like a hotel and more like a really good base for actually experiencing Hanoi rather than just surviving it.

  Swinburne University of Technology (Hanoi) に用のある方は目の前，サークルKも目の前で周辺にリーゾナブルな飲食店も多くとても便利．旧市街などへもGrabで気軽に移動できる．複数小部屋＆ベッドあり，TVは日本・韓国・ベトナム番組など映るし，冷蔵庫や乾燥機付き洗濯機もついており洗剤持参するとよいかも．スタッフもとても親切で翻訳ソフトで献身的なやりとりしてくれてとてもよかった．
  
  What could be improved: 様々なボタンがあるので換気扇やシャワーお湯用がどれか悩むかも．ただとりあえずその部屋のスイッチ全部ONすればシャワーお湯も出るし特に問題なかった．
