The drive out there takes you through some proper Vietnamese countryside, rice paddies and all, and suddenly you’re at this surprisingly polished villa that feels like someone’s well-appointed family compound rather than a typical hotel.

The thing about staying here is that you’re getting authentic rural Vietnam but with actual comfort – and I say that as someone who’s stayed in plenty of places where “authentic” meant cold showers and mosquito nets with holes. The rooms are genuinely nice (I’d say the 4-star rating is spot on), and the staff seems to actually live in the area, so they know things like which local bánh mì stand opens earliest and where to catch the best sunset views. What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night – like, properly quiet in a way that city folks forget exists. You can hear the frogs and insects doing their evening thing, but it’s not overwhelming. The property itself has this lived-in elegance that feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, if your friend happened to have really good taste and a decent budget for landscaping.

Here’s the practical stuff that matters: parking is easy (which, if you’ve driven in Vietnam, you’ll appreciate), the WiFi actually works throughout the property, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. The location means you’re about 30-40 minutes from central Hanoi depending on traffic, but honestly that distance is part of the appeal. You’re close enough for day trips to the Old Quarter or Temple of Literature, but far enough out that you can pretend you’re in the countryside. I actually found myself using it as a base for exploring some of the lesser-known temples and villages in Sóc Sơn – stuff that doesn’t make it into most guidebooks but feels more genuine than the tourist circuit. The breakfast spread leans local, which I appreciated, and they’re not trying to recreate some international buffet situation that would feel completely out of place here. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between authentic Vietnamese experience and actual comfort, this place nails it.

  We are a coworker/friend group of 10 looking for a place near the airport to stay for our retreat, and the location was very easy to find. Staying at Green Meadow Villa was exactly the peaceful getaway we needed. Giang was the warmest host, welcoming us like old friends. Loved waking up to serene views of lush gardens, enjoying cozy bonfires at night, and exploring local spots Giang recommended. There were a lot of space and fun activities to do, it felt more like visiting family than staying at a rental—truly special!
  
  What could be improved: Nothing, stay was amazing. The price seemed high initially, but I received and applied exclusive discounts via booking.com, so it ended up being a fantastic value, especially per person given how spacious the villa was!

  The place was huge and the villa was decent, the location was a bit remote and even getting a grab taxi was hard. However, the helper was very fast to arrange a cab for us. It can be really good for a big group who just want to enjoy the property and stay in itself.
  The owner of the property was very cooperative and gave us an early checkin.
