Getting there is a bit of an adventure – you’ll wind through Ngõ 264 off Âu Cơ street, and I’ll be straight with you, it’s one of those addresses that’ll have your taxi driver scratching his head and making a few phone calls. But once you find building number 9 (there’s actually a small sign, though you might miss it), you realize why this place scores a 9.5 rating. The host clearly knows what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth, none of that awkward fumbling with keys or confusing instructions you sometimes get with these smaller places. The studio itself is compact but thoughtfully laid out – I mean, someone actually considered how a person lives in a space this size. The bed faces those panoramic windows, so you wake up to green views instead of your neighbor’s laundry, which in Hanoi is honestly pretty remarkable.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets here, especially considering you’re still technically in the city. Tay Ho has this way of feeling removed from central Hanoi’s chaos while keeping you connected to everything that matters. You’re walking distance from the lake – West Lake, obviously – and there’s this cluster of decent coffee shops and local eateries within a few blocks that most tourists never stumble across. The kind of places where you’ll see the same faces every morning, where the bánh mì lady remembers how you like your coffee. Parking can be a bit tight on the narrow street, but there’s usually space if you’re not picky about squeezing between a couple of motorbikes. The building itself is newer construction, so you don’t get the charming-but-annoying quirks of Hanoi’s older apartments – the water pressure is solid, the wifi actually works, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like it’s about to give up on life. Honestly, for a 4-star place, it punches above its weight. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the alley can get a bit echoey when people come and go late at night, but nothing that would keep you awake unless you’re an extremely light sleeper.

  A beautiful apartment on the 5th floor with an elevator. The view of nature makes you forget for a moment that the metropolis of Hanoi is just a few meters away. It's pleasantly quiet at night, and I was able to sleep with the balcony door open. The studio is fully equipped. A comfortable and clean bed, a couch, a TV, and a kitchen. The landlord responds promptly to inquiries and helps with any questions or problems. I can 100% recommend this studio.
