You know what struck me first about Atlanta Residences? It’s tucked into this quiet corner of Hang Chuoi street where you can actually hear yourself think – which honestly is pretty rare in Hanoi. I mean, you’re still in Hai Ba Trung district so everything you need is right there, but somehow this little pocket feels removed from the motorbike chaos that usually defines the city. The building itself has this understated elegance that grows on you; it’s not trying too hard to impress, but the details are all there when you look closer.

The rooms are what really sold me though. They’ve got this lived-in comfort that feels more like staying in a well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel room – there’s actual counter space in the kitchenette (revolutionary, I know), and the beds are firm enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you slept in a hammock. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night; you’d expect street noise being on Hang Chuoi, but their windows actually do their job. The staff operates more like helpful neighbors than formal hotel employees, which works perfectly in this setting. They’ll point you toward that little pho place three blocks down that doesn’t have any English signage but serves the best broth in the neighborhood – you know, the kind of insider knowledge that makes a difference.

Location-wise, you’re about a fifteen-minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake if you take the scenic route through the smaller streets, or you can hop on a xe om and be there in five minutes if the weather’s not cooperating. The French Quarter’s close enough for evening strolls, but far enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside. There’s a decent coffee shop right at the corner – locals actually drink there, which is always a good sign – and a small market two streets over where you can grab fresh fruit without paying foreigner prices. Honestly, for a 4-star place, it punches above its weight. The 9.3 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s not flashy luxury, but it gets all the fundamentals right and then adds these thoughtful touches that show someone actually thought about what travelers need rather than what looks good in photos.

  Property is very clean and same as the pictures. Our flight was delayed and we came to n post midnight but it was a hassle free check in. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Property is Highly recommended.

  This is the fourth time I stayed at Atlanta, and here's some reasons why it's better than other properties –
  
  – Best location for a serviced apartment, closest to old quarters
  – No key card needed for elevators, you don't need to go down to pick up friends
  – The hotel staff brings your deliveries to your room instantly. Multiple deliveries, any time of the day/night, with a smile
  – they offered me a free upgrade on my first stay
  – no issues with durian, smoking etc. They don't hassle you for anything, I've paid the room charge late on many occasions and they're chill with it.
  – very hot water in shower which doesn't run out, good speed, doesn't take ages to become hot
  – Always keep your things which you forget in the room, they gave me some small things after I returned 4+ months later, hadn't even asked them to keep it, didn't even know I forgot it
  – always open doors to cabs and cars for you, load and unload your luggage every time with a smile
  – no tips are expected at any point, although I like to give them because all of the people who work there are such nice people
  
  What could be improved: Some aspects of the property are a bit old and could use renovation
  
  Should be a bit careful around the fitness centre – the bench didn't seem very stable to me, the weights are labelled incorrectly

  We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff were friendly and always helpful, making us feel right at home. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with housekeeping doing a great job every day. The location was perfect — right in the city, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to relax. It also felt very safe, and I was comfortable leaving the kids in the room for short periods. Overall, a wonderful place to stay for both families and solo travelers.

  Amazing. Far superior to what we had expected. Beautiful, friendly, helpful staff. Fantastic 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with balcony to enjoy people watching on the street below. Close to everything – Kiem Lake, good restaurants, shopping, cafes, pub next door and a Circle K. And quiet area in better area of Hanoi. Would highly recommend!

  They have clean apartments. Furniture a bit older than pictures. Kind staff.
  
  What could be improved: They have a serious air filtration issue. Noon time all kitchen smell was coming to room, also to gym. They should work on it.
