Bella Rosa Hotel & Travel Overview

Look, I’ve stayed at my fair share of places in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and honestly? Bella Rosa Hotel & Travel surprised me in the best way. The thing about Cau Go Street is that it’s right in the thick of things – you’re literally a two-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, but somehow this little spot manages to feel like a refuge from all the motorbike chaos outside. I mean, you can still hear the city humming (this is Hanoi, after all), but it’s not the kind of street noise that’ll keep you up at night.

What really got me was how the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood. Like, when I asked about getting to the weekend night market, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the touristy stuff – he told me which alleys to cut through and mentioned that the best banh mi cart sets up right around the corner every morning around 7 AM. Turns out he was absolutely right. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, nothing revolutionary but genuinely comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower (trust me, this matters more than you think in Vietnam), decent air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and beds that don’t leave you wondering if you slept on a pile of bricks. I actually appreciated that they didn’t go overboard trying to be fancy – sometimes you just want a clean, well-run place where everything works.

The location thing is sort of perfect if you know how to navigate it. You’re close enough to walk to St. Joseph’s Cathedral and all those little coffee shops tucked into ancient buildings, but far enough from the absolute mayhem of Ta Hien (beer corner) that you can actually get some sleep. And here’s something I didn’t expect – they’ve got this little travel desk that’s actually useful, not just a front for overpriced tours. The woman who runs it helped me figure out the bus situation to Sapa and didn’t try to upsell me on some ridiculous package deal. Honestly, that 9.1 rating makes sense when you add up all these little things. It’s not going to blow your mind or end up in some luxury travel magazine, but it’s the kind of place that just… works. You know what I mean? Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially when you’re trying to figure out a city as wonderfully chaotic as Hanoi.

Reviews of Bella Rosa Hotel & Travel

  • Matthias from Germany – 3 June 2025 (10/10)

Although the hotel is a bit older, it is very well kept and has a lot of charm. What really makes this place stand out is the amazing staff – everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and truly dedicated to making our stay perfect.

The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide selection of fresh and delicious options. The room was clean, cozy, and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed.

The location is absolutely ideal – right in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, with shops, restaurants, and sights all within walking distance.

We felt completely at home and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

  • Nysiag from Costa Rica – 20 May 2025 (10/10)

My experience at this accommodation was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The place looks exactly like the photos—spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Daily housekeeping was done promptly, and everything was kept in perfect order throughout my stay.

I arrived very late (around 3 a.m.) and was welcomed with genuine kindness and consideration, which immediately made me feel at ease. The staff consistently went above and beyond, offering warm, helpful service at all times.

Breakfast was generous and diverse, with a great selection of food. The fresh fruits and natural juices were especially delicious—a real highlight of the morning.

What truly sets this place apart is the attention to detail and guest comfort. On check-out day, they offer free luggage storage and even allow you to take a shower before heading to the airport—such a thoughtful and practical gesture, especially for late flights.

I would highly recommend this place to solo travelers, families, and couples alike. It’s incredibly comfortable, perfectly located, and run by people who genuinely care about making your stay the best it can be. I would absolutely stay here again!

Big room with a lot of space, staff is extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast is next door with a variety of foods 🙂

What could be improved: it can be noisy, but that is to be expected in old quarter …

  • Giovanni from Italy – 7 May 2025 (9/10)

We had a wonderful stay at Bella Rosa Hotel & Travel in Hanoi. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the Old Quarter and just steps from the beautiful lake. The staff were outstanding, incredibly kind and helpful, especially the girl who welcomed us, she truly made us feel at home. The room was clean. Breakfast was tasty, served just 10 meters away in a nearby building. We appreciated being able to store our luggage before check-in, and they even let us check in early at no extra cost. Highly recommended!

What could be improved: A bit noisy during the night, but of course this is because the hotel is located in the very city center.

  • Smith from South Africa – 2 May 2025 (9/10)

    Very friendly and helpful staff.

  • Petra from Netherlands – 29 April 2025 (9/10)

Perfect place right in the middle of the Old Quarter and very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast with a lot of choice.
I had a room with a balcony and it was lovely to sip your tea there and look at the people and traffic from above.

What could be improved: A bit noisy from streets but that is to be expected if you’re right in the middle of the Old Quarter.
The room is clean but things are a little bit old.

  • Lydia from Australia – 23 April 2025 (10/10)

The location and the staff are the standouts! Each staff member on any shift knows your room number and is so friendly! Plus everything is right there for you, you’re staying right in the thick of all the action test I could hear no noise 🙂

What could be improved: The shower was a little inconvenient 🙂

  • Xanthippi from Greece – 22 April 2025 (8/10)

Excellent and really central location. The staff was super friendly and the room spacious and comfy. The bed was also very comfortable.

What could be improved: Breakfast was served in a different location (partner hotel), a couple meters away from the establishment. Additionally, in order to use the elevator, someone needs to be quite patient.

  • Xiaohui from France – 17 April 2025 (10/10)

Hotel very well situated from Old Quarter. Staff very nice! We got a family room from the top floor with a lake view that is nice! The breakfast is taken from another hotel just a few steps walking and is very complete!

  • John from Ireland – 16 April 2025 (10/10)

Staff service was very good, and all staff were very helpful, including Ted and the girl on reception with glases and Vietnamese traditional clothes. Great location. Lovely breakfast.
