Bloom in Hanoi – The Residences Overview
Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Hanoi, but Bloom in Hanoi – The Residences actually surprised me. It’s tucked away in this little alley off Dich Vong Hau street in Cau Giay district, and honestly, when the taxi driver first pulled up, I wasn’t sure we were in the right spot. The entrance is pretty understated – you know how some hotels try way too hard with their lobbies? This isn’t that. But once you’re inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how people live, not just how they sleep for one night.
The rooms feel more like serviced apartments than typical hotel rooms, which makes sense given the name. I mean, there’s a proper kitchen setup – not just a mini fridge and kettle situation. The living space flows naturally, and the bedroom doesn’t feel like an afterthought crammed behind a thin wall. What really got me was the attention to small details that most places miss. The shower pressure is excellent (trust me, this matters in Vietnam), and the air conditioning actually cools the whole space evenly instead of creating that weird hot-cold zone thing you get in so many hotels here. The WiFi works consistently too, which… well, if you work remotely, you know why I’m mentioning this.
Location-wise, you’re in Cau Giay, which honestly works better than staying right in the Old Quarter if you want to experience how Hanoi actually functions day-to-day. There’s a bunch of local restaurants within walking distance – the pho place two blocks down toward Nguyen Hoang Ton street is where office workers go for lunch, not tourists. The area gets busy during rush hour since you’re near some office buildings, but it settles down nicely in the evenings. Getting to the main tourist spots takes about 15-20 minutes by taxi or Grab, and the staff can arrange motorbike taxis if you’re feeling adventurous. I stayed here during the shoulder season in October, and the whole neighborhood had this comfortable, lived-in energy without being chaotic. The 9.3 rating makes sense once you realize this place isn’t trying to be flashy – it’s just genuinely well-run. Check-in was smooth, the staff speaks solid English, and when I had an issue with the room temperature on my second night, someone came up within ten minutes to sort it out. It’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days and feel like you’re living in Hanoi, not just passing through.

Bữa sáng khá đang dạng, các món nước nấu rất bài bản, hợp khẩu vị.
What could be improved: Do khách sạn cũng lâu năm nên ko expect cơ sở vật chất mới tinh tươm, nhưng tương đối sạch sẽ gọn gàng đối với mìnhMinh from Vietnam – 25 April 2025 (9/10)
I stayed here on May 24 and honestly had a great time. The hotel’s not brand new or anything, but it’s super clean and well-kept, which I really appreciated. It’s tucked in a local neighborhood that gets pretty lively during the day — not super touristy, but that’s part of the charm. It’s not right by the Old Quarter, but I still found it easy to get around and try lots of local food nearby. The staff were lovely — really helpful and even helped me book a ride when I needed one. The room was just like the photos, no surprises, and everything worked fine.
What could be improved: As I said, heading to the Old Quarter isn’t exactly fun in this weather — but aside from that, everything else was great.Nguyễn from Vietnam – 24 April 2025 (10/10)
What could be improved: Wifi chập chờn, đường truyền không ổn định đặc biệt vào giờ cao điểm.
Cầu giấy nên hơi xa trung tâm, phố cổ,….
