The building itself is typical Hanoi – narrow staircase, no elevator, but the climb to the fourth floor isn’t terrible and you get used to it quickly.

What I really appreciated was how functional everything felt without being cramped. The studio layout actually works, and whoever designed it understood that travelers need space to spread out their stuff – there’s proper storage, not just a tiny wardrobe and a prayer. The balcony becomes your little escape where you can sit with morning coffee or evening beer and just watch the neighborhood rhythm. During my stay in late spring, the weather was perfect for keeping the balcony doors open, though I imagine the summer heat might change that equation. The Wi-Fi was solid (crucial for getting work done), and the AC worked without sounding like a helicopter taking off. Check-in was straightforward – the property manager met me right on time and walked me through everything, including how to work the somewhat temperamental hot water heater. Small thing, but those details matter when you’re settling into a new place. The 8.1 rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises and then some. If you want to experience Hanoi like you’re actually living here for a few days rather than just passing through, this spot gives you that authentic neighborhood feel without sacrificing comfort.

  bright room, clean, perfectly equipped — there even was a first aid kit in a cabinet. Very polite staff. Great service. I mistakenly took the room key and they sent a grab out to take it at their own expense.
