The entrance is pretty understated, which I mean, fits perfectly with the whole vibe of the Old Quarter where every doorway seems to hide something interesting.

The location is genuinely fantastic, though I hate using that word because every hotel claims it. But seriously, you’re smack in the middle of Hoan Kiem, which means you can stumble out for pho at 6 AM (and trust me, you’ll want to) or grab a late-night bia hoi without any planning. I could hear the gentle hum of motorbikes and street vendors from my room – some people might find that annoying, but it’s pure Hanoi soundtrack to me. The lake is maybe a three-minute walk, and you’re close enough to all those tiny alleyways where the real food magic happens. There’s this little coffee shop right around the corner that does amazing egg coffee, and the staff actually pointed me toward it instead of the tourist traps.

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both polished and authentic. The 4-star rating isn’t just marketing fluff – the rooms are genuinely well-appointed, clean, and thoughtfully designed. But they haven’t sanitized all the character out of the place, you know? The building itself has that classic Hanoi charm with narrow stairs (fair warning if you’re hauling heavy luggage), and the staff seems to actually live in the neighborhood rather than just work there. They gave me incredibly specific directions to places, like “turn left at the lady who sells the best banh mi, not the other banh mi place.” Check-in was smooth, though the lobby is pretty compact – don’t expect a grand entrance hall. The 8.3 rating feels spot-on; it’s not perfect, but the imperfections are the kind that add personality rather than frustration. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel like I was actually in Hanoi rather than just visiting it.

  I had an amazing time staying here! It’s the perfect homestay for 2 or more people looking to enjoy a cozy, relaxing holiday. The room has an incredible vibe, beautifully designed with a warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by plenty of decorative lights. The location is fantastic,in a quiet area right in the heart of town,close to the Old Quarter. It’s super convenient to explore nearby attractions on foot and then return for a quick rest. A shoutout to Ms. Mia (maybe), who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She was always responsive, providing helpful answers to our questions and recommending amazing foodie spots that elevated our experience. It was unfortunate we could only stay for one night. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I’d recommend this place to my friends. Looking forward to coming back again in the future!

  The location is fantastic—just minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake and some of Hanoi’s most iconic spots. Despite being centrally located, it’s surprisingly quiet and calm, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Mia and Vivian are warm and accommodating, making sure you feel right at home. The complimentary walking tour they offer is a wonderful bonus, allowing you to discover hidden gems around the city.
