What I love about the Quảng An area is that you’re close enough to West Lake to grab those perfect sunset shots everyone posts on Instagram, but far enough from the main tourist strips that you can actually get a feel for how people live here. There’s a solid bánh mì spot about two blocks away that locals hit up around 7 AM – you know it’s good because there’s always a line of people on scooters waiting. The nearest convenience store stays open late, which is clutch when you realize at 10 PM that you need bottled water or forgot to grab coffee for the morning. Getting to the Old Quarter takes maybe 15 minutes by taxi (longer during rush hour, obviously), but honestly, you might find yourself spending more time just wandering the lakeside paths than dealing with the chaos downtown.

The apartment itself feels lived-in in the best way – comfortable furniture that’s actually comfortable, not just stylish, and those little touches that make you feel settled rather than like you’re camping out. I mean, they even had decent hangers in the closet, which sounds ridiculous but you know how rare that is.
