It’s actually tucked away on this narrow street called Phố Lò Sũ that most tourists completely miss, but honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake – and I’m talking about the good side where locals do their morning tai chi, not the touristy chaos around Ngoc Son Temple.

The lobby hits you with this mix of modern Vietnamese design and that subtle incense smell that somehow doesn’t feel overwhelming (unlike half the hotels in the Old Quarter). Check-in was smooth, though the elevator is one of those tiny European-style ones where you’ll definitely want to take your big suitcase up separately. The rooms are surprisingly spacious for Hanoi standards, and if you get one facing the right direction, you’ll catch glimpses of the lake through the maze of French colonial buildings. The spa part isn’t just a marketing gimmick either – they’ve got this little oasis on the upper floors where you can actually hear yourself think, which is saying something in a city where motorbikes are basically the soundtrack to everything.

What really sold me on this place was the street it’s on. Phố Lò Sũ connects you to the real Hanoi without dumping you into the backpacker madness of Ta Hien or the tourist traps around Hoan Kiem’s north side. There’s this incredible pho place about fifty meters down that opens at 6 AM (locals only, no English menu), and you’re close enough to the weekend night market that you can walk over when you feel like it, but far enough that you won’t hear the karaoke until 2 AM. The hotel staff actually knows the neighborhood – they pointed me toward a coffee shop that roasts their own beans and a tailor who doesn’t automatically assume you want something touristy just because you’re foreign. Parking is tight if you’re crazy enough to rent a car in Hanoi, but the motorbike situation is manageable, and honestly, you’ll want to walk most places anyway. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you consider that this isn’t trying to be the fanciest place in the city – it’s just really good at being what it is, which is a solid four-star spot that gets the location thing absolutely right.

  What could be improved: Nhân viên sales nên tìm hiểu kỹ thông tin (phòng view mặt trước hay sau) để tư vấn đúng cho khách. Đặt booking xong nhân viên không liên hệ khách ngay mà khách phải gọi vào số hotline để hỏi thông tin.
