Hanoi L’Heritage Diamond Hotel & Spa Overview

Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and honestly? Most of them feel like you’re sleeping inside a construction zone or crammed into a converted shophouse where you can hear your neighbor’s entire phone conversation. But Hanoi L’Heritage Diamond Hotel & Spa – well, it’s actually managed to crack the code on this whole “boutique hotel in the chaos” thing.

The location is what got me first. You’re literally on Nhà Chung street, which means you’re about a two-minute stumble from Hoan Kiem Lake, but here’s the thing nobody tells you – you’re tucked just far enough off the main drag that you’re not dealing with the constant motorbike symphony that comes with staying right on the lake. I mean, don’t get me wrong, you’ll still hear Hanoi being Hanoi, but it’s more like background music than a rock concert. The staff actually seems to know what they’re doing too, which… you know what, that 9.2 rating makes sense once you’re there. Check-in was smooth, they had my room ready early (miracle in Vietnam), and someone genuinely seemed to care that I didn’t speak Vietnamese.

What really surprised me was how they’ve managed to squeeze a proper spa into this space – and I’m talking about actual treatments, not just a couple massage chairs in a basement. After spending days wandering through the French Quarter and dodging traffic, having somewhere to actually decompress was huge. The rooms themselves feel more spacious than they have any right to be, considering you’re in the heart of Hoan Kiem District. Clean lines, decent air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a jet engine, and honestly the bed was comfortable enough that I overslept twice. The bathroom situation is solid too – hot water that actually stays hot, which is more than I can say for half the places I’ve crashed in this neighborhood. You’re walking distance from everything that matters – Dong Xuan Market if you want the full sensory overload experience, St. Joseph’s Cathedral when you need five minutes of quiet, and more pho joints than you could hit in a month. But here’s what I really appreciated: when you need to retreat from all that energy, you actually can. It’s like having a calm home base while you’re exploring one of the most intense cities in Southeast Asia.

The room is super clean. Newly renovated. Surprisingly I got a free upgrade to a balcony room. All the staffs are super helpful and caring. They offered shower room to me before my late afternoon flight. Location is prefect. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay in this establishment. The personnel were very helpful, especially Phuong and Sabi. All of her advices were spot on. They also surprised us by showing up with a cake for our son's birthday. Very thoughtful. The location of the hotel is also very good. And they helped with our laundry services as well. Highly recommended place to stay in Hanoi!!!

  • Ẹvanne from China – 3 June 2025 (10/10)

I had a very pleasant stay. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is located at a convenient location in the old quarters and offers a great breakfast buffet with good veggie options too (personally loved the pho). 10/10 recommend !

  • Conal from Australia – 3 June 2025 (10/10)

We were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door by Sabi , Jame and offered a drink and nibbles during check-in. We were offered a choice of two rooms and nothing was a bother. Rooms were clean and tidy. Location was fantastic and all reception staff chatted to us and were interested with what we had been doing. Breakfast was lovely. Sabi is an asset to Hanoi Lheritage hotel and spa, she knows you by name and is always there to help if needed. Definitely recommend staying there and have a spa treatment which was heaven.

Centrally located – perfect for site-seeing Hanoi. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Ms Sabi and Mr James who helped us book all our visits.

  • Kylie from Australia – 31 May 2025 (9/10)

Great location. Comfortable bed. Massage at spa was great. Breakfast was good, a lot of options.
Even though in the middle of a popular area was surprisingly quiet in room.

  • Jethro from Canada – 26 May 2025 (10/10)

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel located in the Old Quarter. The hospitality was truly exceptional. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit and the rooms were clean, cozy and well-maintained.
The location too is excellent. Many of Hanoi's key attractions, markets, and local eateries are at walkable distance.
The breakfast provided by the hotel is delicious too.

Hanoi Lheritage Diamond is an absolutely stunning hotel hidden within the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. A welcome escape from the crazy streets. We stayed in the hotel multiple nights during our time in Vietnam, each time in an upgraded room.
The building's interior is meticulously clean and decorated beautifully. Each room we stayed in was incredibly comfortable and the extra added touches were appreciated.
The staff treats everyone like royalty and makes you feel special. They spoke excellent English and somehow remembered our names wherever we went. We loved the welcome drinks while checking in. Sabi took care of all of our tours and transfers. She kept in touch via WhatsApp throughout the trip to make sure we were taken care of and even scheduled a last-minute transfer from Ninh Binh. She deserves an award for her level of hospitality.

  • Yamoto from Japan – 26 May 2025 (10/10)

This hotel was our introduction to Vietnam and the staff were absolutely fantastic. They were able to anticipate every need or requirement. It made the transition a delight and set the standard for our tour in Vietnam. Will stay here if comes again next time.
