The rooms themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully modern. Nothing too fancy, but everything works the way it should (and honestly, after staying in places where the shower barely functions, that matters more than marble countertops). The air conditioning actually keeps up with Hanoi’s humidity, the beds are firm without being rock-hard, and – this is going to sound weird but it’s important – the walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the hallway. I stayed there during Tet season when the Old Quarter gets absolutely crazy, and I could still sleep at night. The Wi-Fi reaches every corner of the room, which became crucial when I needed to work some evenings. What really impressed me was the little stuff: they stock the bathroom with decent toiletries, there’s always hot water (even during peak morning hours), and someone clearly thought about outlet placement because you can actually charge your phone next to the bed.

But here’s what sets this place apart from other 4-star spots in the area – the staff genuinely knows Hanoi. Not just the tourist spots everyone recommends, but actual neighborhoods worth exploring. When I mentioned wanting to find good street food that wasn’t overrun with tour groups, the front desk guy drew me a little map to some alleys near Dong Xuan Market that I never would have found otherwise. The concierge helped me figure out the local bus system instead of just pushing expensive tours, and when my flight got delayed, they let me store my luggage for free and use their lobby to work for a few hours. That 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not just about having nice amenities, it’s about the whole experience feeling seamless. The location alone is worth it (you can walk to the night market, the lake, decent restaurants, and the main shopping streets), but it’s really the combination of being comfortable, well-located, and genuinely helpful that makes it work. If you’re looking for a place that lets you experience Hanoi without dealing with unnecessary hassles, this is your spot.

  This is a beautiful hotel, really well positioned. Comfortable beds and nice facilities. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Very friendly and super helpful. Albert was fantastic and went out of his way to to look after us. Tom was sensational and very professional. Highly recommend this hotel.

  Great location, close to good cafes and restaurants. Short walk to Hoan Kiem Lake where you can take the Hop on Hop Off Bus.
  We found the best fresh made Bunh Mi was across the street from the hotel.

  The awning over the terrace needs replacing.
