The Vinhomes Skylake development is honestly massive, with its own shopping areas and perfectly manicured everything, which might sound sterile but somehow works really well here. When you first pull up (and yes, parking is surprisingly easy), you get this sense that you’re staying somewhere locals actually live, not just another tourist bubble.
The apartments themselves are genuinely luxurious without being pretentious about it. I mean, we’re talking full kitchens with decent appliances, living rooms that don’t feel cramped, and bathrooms where you can actually spread out your stuff. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a well-off friend’s place than staying in a hotel – which is exactly what you want from a serviced apartment, right? The beds are properly comfortable, and honestly, the air conditioning works like a dream (crucial in Hanoi’s humidity). What really got me was the attention to small details – good WiFi throughout, enough outlets where you actually need them, and windows that genuinely block out noise from the complex below.
Speaking of location, here’s the thing about Mỹ Đình that a lot of people don’t realize – it’s become this thriving area that’s not quite central Hanoi but definitely not the suburbs either. You’re maybe 15 minutes from the Old Quarter when traffic cooperates (which admittedly isn’t always), but you’ve got legitimate restaurants and cafes right in the complex. There’s even a decent supermarket downstairs, which saved me multiple times when I needed basics or wanted to grab breakfast stuff. The staff at GalaxyHouse actually knows the neighborhood well – they pointed me toward this incredible bún chả place about ten minutes’ walk away that I never would’ve found otherwise. And look, I’ll be honest, some mornings it felt almost too quiet compared to the chaos of central Hanoi, but after a few days of actually getting good sleep, I started appreciating that balance. The whole experience feels like you’re getting a slice of how modern Vietnamese families live, with all the conveniences that come with it, while still being close enough to dive into the real Hanoi whenever you want.

The apartment was great. Had a lovely view, a washing machine and large fridge freezer and a filtered water cooler. Air-conditioned. Shower was great. Walking distance to loads of restaurants and massage places (across a very busy road but it was fine if you know how to cross a vietnemese street)
The hosts were super helpful and responsive.
What could be improved: The pool was unavailable during our stay which was the only reason we booked this apartment. We were really gutted to only find out after check in. There was another indoor pool bit when we went to use it there was a pretty decent fee as we were not residents so couldn't swim
The only other let down is the bed isn't very comfortable. It's super springy and has terrible roll together. You feel every movement of the other person in bed with you. What could be improved: Có 2 khu vực hòm thư để thẻ cư dân nên tôi đã nhầm. Mất một chút thời gian để tìm thẻ.
