Hi-Home Suites – City view Apt in HongKong Tower Overview

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Hi-Home Suites” listed with a Hong Kong Tower address but actually being in Hanoi, I was a bit confused. But you know what? After staying here on La Thành Street, I get it now. This place is trying to capture that sleek, modern apartment vibe you’d find in Hong Kong’s residential towers, and honestly, they’ve done a pretty solid job of it.

The location on La Thành is actually fantastic if you know Dong Da district at all. You’re right in this sweet spot where it feels residential and lived-in, but you can still grab a decent bánh mì from the corner vendor at 6 AM (trust me, I tested this multiple times). The building itself looks like any other apartment complex from the outside – which I actually prefer because you’re not screaming “tourist” when you walk in and out. The elevator’s a bit slow, I’ll admit, but the hallways are clean and well-lit, which matters more than you’d think when you’re fumbling with keys after a long day exploring the city.

What really impressed me was how the suite actually felt like someone’s apartment, not a sterile hotel room. The city view they advertise isn’t some dramatic skyline shot – it’s real Hanoi life happening below, with motorbikes weaving through traffic and street food vendors setting up their stools. The kitchen area is properly equipped too, meaning you can actually cook something instead of just heating up instant noodles. I mean, the pots and pans aren’t fancy, but they work, and there’s a proper refrigerator that keeps things cold. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the space, which saved me during a few work calls back home. The bed’s comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a sore back, and the air conditioning works well – important detail during Hanoi’s sticky summer months. One small thing that bugged me was the shower pressure; it’s adequate but nothing to write home about. The hot water takes about thirty seconds to kick in, so don’t jump in immediately. But the bathroom’s clean and modern, with decent lighting for getting ready. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night. La Thành can get busy during the day, but once evening hits, it settles down nicely. You’ll still hear the occasional motorbike, but that’s just Hanoi being Hanoi – part of the charm, really. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me because this place delivers on what it promises without any nasty surprises, and in a city where accommodation can be hit-or-miss, that consistency is worth something.

  • Sang from Vietnam – 14 August 2024 (9/10)

recently stayed at this homestay and had a great experience. While the location is not in the CBD, it’s still very accessible, and the surrounding area is bustling with everything you need, including marts, a wet market, and plenty of food options.
The apartment itself was more spacious than I expected, providing plenty of room to relax. The hosts were incredibly supportive, reliable, and friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable.
I strongly recommend this place to anyone, whether you’re traveling for leisure or on a business trip. The space and convenience it offers are hard to beat.

What could be improved: One small area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the sofa. It seemed like the cleaner might not have fully focused on it, as it was a bit dirty when we arrived. Since I have a child, I had to clean the sofa and the beds a few times. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay.

  • Nam from Germany – 4 March 2024 (3/10)

I liked that the beds were soft.

What could be improved: The room wasn’t cleaned at all. There were still used tissues next to the bed. Every surface was full of dust when we arrived. And there was also a letter which stated that the property itself was missing an electricity bill.

Also the fact that the property management decided to put the description of the “three-bedroom-apartment” into the “two-bedroom-apartment”.
    I booked a 110m2 apartment and got a 78m2 one.

No fireplace, no extra long beds, no garden/lake view. Literally every facility they mentions was part of either the penthouse or another room.

Also after complaining it to them, they changed it while being in contact with me.

Luckily I made screenshots and took evidence videos of the whole property. After contacting booking I was refunded 50% of the original price since the property was ignoring Booking’s calls and mails to explain them about the false information.

  • Patricia from United Kingdom – 27 February 2024 (5/10)

Spacious apartment with comfortable beds, in a very well maintained safe and secure modern tower block with a small supermarket and excellent Japanese restaurant on the ground floor. Lots of local restaurants and coffee shops close by and a small lake to stroll around. Not too far to walk to Vin Con shopping centre. Note , this area is not a tourist area but more of an everyday suburban area.

What could be improved: The apartment could have done with a more thorough clean, kitchen area was old and a bit shabby. The sheets didn’t fit the bed properly.

  • Anastasiia from Russia – 10 September 2023 (6/10)

Large apartment in a modern building on a quiet street. Very beautiful view of the city.
There was a sufficient supply of bottled water. The bathrooms had all the necessary toiletries.
The air conditioners worked properly. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking.
On the first floor of the building there is a minimarket where you can find the necessary products.
The owner was friendly and answered all questions. He allowed us to check put an hour later.

What could be improved: The apartment was not very clean, the showers had not been washed for a very long time, especially the shower glass. The bed linen was not the freshest, there were many dirty spots and someone's hair. One towel was very dirty, as if it had been used to wash the floors.
The table in the kitchen could barely stand on its legs, we were afraid that it was about to fall apart. In one of the rooms, a shelf came off and was barely holding on.
Very, very hard mattresses, it was very uncomfortable to sleep.
When the air conditioners are turned on, the floors and ceilings begin to crack very loudly, as if someone was walking around the apartment. There were also always some strange claps that shook the walls so that the mirror was constantly shaking.

  • Kinnard from Russia – 7 June 2023 (8/10)

. We were traveling with the family of four people, all big adults. The place is perfect , the host is very good and responsible, and the beds are very cozy. It is a perfect place for Russian citizens because it sits across the road from the Embassy.

What could be improved: A tiny little drawback is the cleanest which is an issue in Vietnam. But it was not dirty it was just a little bit neglected so we gave it to clean ourselves and it was perfect.

  • Annelore from Belgium – 23 April 2023 (9/10)

everything was really nice, the host is really friendly.

    What could be improved: nothing
