The bed was properly comfortable (not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get), and the bathroom had decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in this part of Hanoi. The air conditioning worked without sounding like a helicopter, which was a relief during those sticky summer evenings. Being in Dong Da district, you’re away from the tourist circus of the Old Quarter, but that’s actually perfect if you want to see how Hanoi really works. There’s this fantastic little coffee shop about two blocks down where locals hang out in the mornings, and you can walk to the Temple of Literature in maybe fifteen minutes. The street itself is pretty quiet – I slept well even with the windows cracked open.

What I really appreciated was how the hotel staff seemed to genuinely know their neighborhood. When I asked about getting to Ba Dinh Square, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward a taxi – he actually explained the bus route and mentioned which entrance to use to avoid the crowds. That kind of local insight is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to navigate a city like Hanoi. The breakfast spread was solid too, with both Vietnamese options and the usual international stuff, though I’d definitely recommend trying the pho they make fresh each morning. Look, it’s not the fanciest place in the city, and if you’re looking for a rooftop pool or concierge service, you’ll want to look elsewhere. But for the price point and that 8.7 rating, La cà Home delivers exactly what it promises – a comfortable, authentic base in a real Vietnamese neighborhood where you can actually experience the city instead of just passing through it.

  Chỗ này không ở sâu trong ngõ, thuận tiện cho việc đi lại.
