The apartments themselves are thoughtfully set up too, with proper kitchenettes that actually work (I made coffee every morning and even attempted some pho ga one evening with ingredients from the local market). What really got me was the attention to small details – good water pressure, blackout curtains that actually block light, and WiFi that doesn’t cut out when you’re trying to video call home.

The staff here gets it, you know? They’re not hovering or overly formal, but they genuinely seem to care about making sure you’re sorted. When I mentioned wanting to find a good bún chả place that wasn’t touristy, the front desk guy actually drew me a little map to his personal favorite spot about ten minutes away on foot. And parking – if you’re brave enough to rent a motorbike in Hanoi – is actually manageable here, which is saying something in this city. The whole building has this calm, residential vibe that I really appreciated after long days of navigating the beautiful chaos of Hanoi streets. Ba Dinh district itself is underrated honestly; you’re close enough to hit the major sights (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is practically walking distance), but you’re also in a neighborhood where you can grab fresh bánh mì from corner vendors who remember your face after a couple days. It’s that sweet spot between convenience and authenticity that’s pretty hard to find, especially at this price point.
