And being on Hang Bac means you’re surrounded by all these tiny silver shops and street food stalls, but here’s the thing – the hotel’s soundproofing is actually solid. I was worried about motorbike noise (because, well, it’s Hanoi), but honestly slept better than I do at home. The spa part isn’t just marketing fluff either. They’ve got this compact but well-designed treatment area, and after spending a day dodging scooters and haggling in Dong Xuan Market, their Vietnamese traditional massage actually saved my sanity.

What really sold me on this place was the breakfast situation – they do this great mix of Western basics and local stuff, so you can ease into Vietnamese coffee culture without diving headfirst into street food at 7 AM. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid four-star, nothing revolutionary but everything works properly (the AC is crucial during Hanoi’s sticky summers). Staff speaks excellent English, which honestly makes a huge difference when you’re trying to figure out bus routes or need restaurant recommendations that aren’t just tourist traps. They pointed me toward this incredible bun cha place two streets over that I never would have found otherwise. The 9.5 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense – it’s one of those places that just gets the details right, from check-in being genuinely quick to having decent water pressure and towels that actually dry you off. If you’re doing the typical Hanoi thing – exploring temples, street food crawling, maybe a day trip to Ha Long Bay – this gives you a proper home base without breaking the bank.

  The service of the staff were excellent. They were all very polite and attentive. They anticipate your needs.
  The hotel was clean.
  The breakfast, for me, was amazing. You can order omelette, pancakes, French toast, etc.
  The place was in the center of the old quarter.
  I will book this hotel again when I come back to Hanoi.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing I didn't like was that when you book for a tour, they don't pick you up anymore when your inside the old quarter. There are some areas that were closed at certain times. It's not the hotel's fault, though.

  Great price/quality right at the center of Old Quarter. The team is nice, breakfast is great and the rooms are simple, but comfortable.

  I stayed at Lavender Central and Spa for one night and was absolutely impressed!
  
  I especially want to highlight the staff — incredibly kind, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. Their attitude made a huge difference and created a truly comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.
  
  The food was excellent — fresh and delicious. The cleanliness was also top-notch; the room was spotless and cozy.

  Yes. The hotel is very near to the tourist attraction place. The staff named "Kai" is really helpful and friendly. He helped us a lot. Also thank you to staff Feng who help us during breakfast too.
