Luxe Paradise Residence Truc Bach Overview
So I stumbled across this place on Nguyễn Khắc Hiếu street, and honestly, the name “Luxe Paradise Residence” had me rolling my eyes a bit – you know how these boutique hotels love their dramatic names. But here’s the thing: Truc Bach is actually one of those neighborhoods in Ba Dinh that feels like real Hanoi, not the tourist bubble around the Old Quarter. You’re walking distance from the lake (the actual Truc Bach Lake, which locals use for morning exercise), and there’s this fantastic little coffee spot about two blocks down where old men play xiangqi at 6 AM.
The hotel itself sits in what feels like a narrow alleyway until you realize most of Hanoi’s residential streets look exactly like this. Four stars seems about right – it’s got that polished feel without trying too hard to be fancy. The lobby’s compact but they’ve done something clever with mirrors that makes it feel bigger than it is. Check-in was smooth, though the English gets a bit shaky with complex requests (bring your translation app just in case). What I really appreciated was the genuine quiet at night – Ba Dinh doesn’t have the motorbike chaos of other districts, so you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, though honestly, the Wi-Fi gets temperamental on the upper floors during heavy rain season.
Here’s what makes this spot work: you’re maybe fifteen minutes by taxi to the main tourist stuff, but you’re living where actual Hanoians live. There’s a morning market two streets over where vendors remember your face after three days, and the pho place on the corner opens at 5:30 AM sharp (old lady in the blue apron makes the best broth in the district, I’m not even exaggerating). The hotel staff seemed genuinely surprised when I asked about local recommendations, which tells me they don’t get a ton of international guests – but they came through with solid suggestions. The 7.5 rating makes sense to me; it’s not going to blow your mind, but everything works, it’s clean, the price point is reasonable for what you get, and the location gives you that authentic neighborhood feel without sacrificing convenience. Just don’t expect a pool or fancy restaurant – this is more about having a comfortable base while you explore the real Hanoi, not about the hotel being the destination itself.

Reviews of Luxe Paradise Residence Truc Bach
William from Vietnam – 22 May 2025 (7/10)
Location, fast elevator, big room, great bed, good kitchen
What could be improved: I asked for a room with balcony over the street but I got an internal room, no daily cleaning, fresh towels would be nice , no breakfastSandhya from India – 12 March 2025 (7/10)
Room was with Balcony. It is one bedroom apartment which is good.
What could be improved: Though It had Kitchen facility, enough Utensils were not provided. I had to ask for it. Though I asked for Kitchen towel, it was not provided until I left. I asked for chopping pad, they provided very dirty chopping pad which I never ever used. I stayed there for 3 days, not even once housekeeping lady turned up to clean the room.
You need to enter the property through basement. It was difficult to find the address, as 3 plot numbers are provided.Martin from Sweden – 11 February 2025 (9/10)
It was so quiet and peaceful place to stay. A little bit outside the tourist dense areas, but still walking distance or easy to get a cheap Grab. Lots of locals hanging out in this neighborhood and there are popular restaurants where the Hanoians go.
The staff was very friendly, the guard and the ’receptionist’ Hoang were very helpful.Sreejith from India – 28 January 2025 (8/10)
Spacious room, nice balcony, a quite location, near by few open restaurants, night is different vibes.
What could be improved: Main entrance wasn't there, a bit tricky to find even it's in main Road, Electric plug points aren't international, so need to carry an adaptor for it, it's not a negative comments, all other facilities are well.Kenneth from United States – 21 January 2025 (9/10)
It was a lovely full apartment with a bath tub and a washing machine, both of which I used. The area was my favorite in Hanoi. Wish I had stayed in Truc Bach the whole time, instead of the days I spent in the Old Quarter nearby. There are lovely cafes, restaurants and bars nearby with very friendly locals and travellers, and usually a view of the lake. I would definitely stay there again! Thanks!!!
What could be improved: The window is onto an air well, but very quiet because no road noise.Galen from South Africa – 18 January 2025 (9/10)
I was pleasantly surprised that no noise whatsoever came from the nightclub mentioned, not even on the weekend! My room (on the 4th floor) felt very new, clean and spacious. Amazing value for money at the time of writing that I stayed a second time whilst in Hanoi.
What could be improved: There was some construction noise coming from somewhere in the building, but it was nothing intolerable.Luka from Croatia – 7 January 2025 (8/10)
Nice and spacious apartment. It has everything you need. Staff is really friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: It wasn't dirty, but some parts of the room weren't cleaned properly.Noel from Malaysia – 4 January 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Can't use the stuff in the kitchenKatja from Finland – 26 December 2024 (9/10)
Residence was very nice and clean
Hannah from United Kingdom – 22 July 2024 (9/10)
The apartment was amazing value and although considered not to be central, was so easy to order a grab taxi and head into the old town in 6 minutes. It was the perfect location in many ways because it was so reasonably priced for a whole apartment with washing machine and had little local cafes available right outside. It was very relaxed.
What could be improved: The entrance to the building is through the basement car park and can look a bit scary if you arrive at night time. The security guard there also doesn’t speak a single word of English and I had a bit of trouble checking in initially after a long trip.
