What really sold me on this place was how it sits right in the heart of the Skylake development on Phạm Hùng – and if you know Hanoi, you’ll appreciate that this area has become sort of the new business district without losing that livable feel. I could walk to decent coffee shops (there’s this little place called Highlands Coffee that locals actually go to, not just tourists), and the My Dinh National Stadium is practically next door if you’re into that. The apartment itself was surprisingly spacious – I had a proper kitchen that I actually used, not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes that’s more for show. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that weird hotel back pain, and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that actually worked properly. You know what I really appreciated though? The soundproofing was excellent. Phạm Hùng can get busy during rush hour, but inside the apartment it was genuinely quiet.

The building amenities were solid without being flashy – there’s a decent gym that’s not overcrowded, and the rooftop area gives you a nice view of the city skyline, especially at sunset. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Hanoi will tell you is not something to take for granted. I stayed there during a particularly busy period in the city, and while other hotels were either booked solid or charging crazy rates, MintHome felt like this hidden gem that somehow maintains reasonable standards. The housekeeping was thorough without being intrusive, and they restocked the coffee pods regularly (small thing, but it matters when you’re staying longer than a couple nights). If you’re looking for something that feels more like a temporary home than a sterile hotel room, especially if you’re in Hanoi for business or an extended stay, this place gets it right. It’s not trying to be the fanciest spot in the city, but it nails the fundamentals while giving you that sense of actually living somewhere rather than just passing through.
