You know what really caught me off guard about Newsky Serviced Apartment? The location is actually genius, even though it doesn’t sound impressive on paper. I mean, Ngõ 69 Trần Quoc Hoàn is this narrow alley that you’d probably walk past without thinking twice, but honestly – that’s exactly why it works so well. You’re tucked away from the main road chaos (and trust me, Trần Quoc Hoàn can get pretty hectic during rush hour), but you can still walk to Keangnam Tower in like ten minutes if you need to hit the business district. The building itself is one of those sleek, newish mid-rises that’s become pretty common in Cau Giay – nothing too flashy from the outside, but once you’re inside, it’s clear they’ve put thought into the details.

The apartments themselves are what really sold me on this place. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit, and it actually felt like someone’s well-designed home rather than a hotel room with a kitchenette thrown in as an afterthought. The kitchen has proper counter space – you can actually cook if you want to, which is rare for serviced apartments in this price range. The living area flows nicely, and there’s enough natural light that you don’t feel like you’re in a cave, even on those gray Hanoi days. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re still in the heart of the city. You get the occasional motorbike sound from the alley, but nothing like what you’d deal with on the main streets. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re working remotely or just trying to figure out your next day’s plans.

Here’s the thing about staying in Cau Giay that a lot of people don’t realize – you’re positioned perfectly for both the business side of Hanoi and the more interesting local spots. There’s this great little coffee scene developing around here, and you’re close enough to hop on a xe om to get to the Old Quarter without it being a major expedition. The staff at Newsky seems to get this balance too. They’re professional without being overly formal, and they actually know the neighborhood well enough to give you decent recommendations that aren’t just the same tourist spots everyone suggests. I had an issue with the air conditioning remote on my second day, and they had someone up to fix it within an hour – no big drama, just handled it. The 9.2 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything runs. It’s not luxury in the flashy sense, but it’s that kind of understated quality that makes you feel like you’ve found something good that not everyone knows about yet.

  Great space since it has a full kitchen, washer/dryer on each floor, friendly staff. 25 meters down a small lane so its pretty quiet. Lots of places to eat nearby.

  Stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Well equipped with everything needed including a kitchen with utensils, dishes, pots, 20L water dispenser etc. Had an Elevator, come and go as you please with the caretaker in his own room off the lobby. Washer and dryer on each floor shared by 3 rooms.
  
  What could be improved: Could use a handle by the tub/shower to make it easier to get in/out without slipping as its a pretty tall step in and out of the tub and also provide a towel for the floor in the bathroom.

  The appartment was spacious, we loved that the bedroom and the kitchen/living area were seperated. Everything was very clean, we used the kitchen every day. Very nice soft bed and good big shower! Nice staff and great price!!

  The cleanliness and comfort the apartment offered make me feel like home. Location is not so much a tourist area, but it is where locals live. The apartment is just so cozy, yet not old school. It's perfect for solo and couple trip.
  
  What could be improved: We are forced to leave the place because of the construction happening right next to the building. It can disruptive for people who likes to sleep in like us. But this an external factor that can't be controlled by the hotel.

  Great apartment with washing machine and dryer, bathtub. Everything is very clean and in good condition. The bedroom can be completely darkened with a good curtain. The location of the accommodation is very quiet. The host is really nice and helpful. English is also spoken. There are many restaurants and shops around the accommodation with everything you need. The bus stop to the center is not far away. It is an oasis of calm in the noisy city. You have a lot of privacy. The elevator takes you straight to the roof terrace, which you can actually always enjoy alone. There is as much drinking water as you want from a hot and cold water dispenser in the room. I found that very practical. We stayed there for six nights and I would book the accommodation again at any time without thinking twice.
