I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Pacific Place Serviced Apartment on Phan Boi Chau, I wasn’t expecting much from the street-level entrance. But you know what? Sometimes the best places in Hanoi hide behind unassuming facades, and this is definitely one of them.

The thing about staying right in Hoan Kiem is that you’re literally in the thick of everything – I mean, you can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in about three minutes, and the weekend night market chaos is practically outside your door. What I really appreciated though was how the apartment actually felt like an escape once you got inside. The soundproofing is surprisingly good (crucial when you’re this close to the Old Quarter madness), and honestly, after spending days navigating the motorbike symphony outside, coming back to a quiet space with a proper kitchenette felt like a small miracle. The apartments themselves are spacious by Hanoi standards – I’m talking room to actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it for a week.

Here’s what really sold me on the place: the staff genuinely knows the neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the airport early in the morning, they didn’t just say “take a taxi” – they told me exactly which corner to stand on for the best grab pickup, what time the coffee shops open (6 AM for most), and even mentioned that the little bánh mì lady sets up across from the post office around 6:30 if I wanted breakfast to go. That’s the kind of local insight you can’t fake. The building itself sits on one of those narrow Hanoi streets that somehow manages to fit two-way traffic, three coffee shops, and about fifty parked motorbikes, but it works. You’re close enough to duck into Ta Hien for beers with backpackers or walk to Trang Tien for actual shopping, depending on your mood. I actually found myself using the kitchen more than I expected – there’s a Big C supermarket about ten minutes away, and after eating street food for days (not complaining), sometimes you just want to make your own coffee in the morning. The apartments come with decent cookware, which is rare for serviced places. Check-in was smooth, though like most places in the Old Quarter, don’t expect to find it immediately – the numbering system here follows its own logic. But once you’re settled, you’ll realize why this place has such a high rating. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in Hanoi, but it nails what most travelers actually need: space, quiet, location, and staff who actually care about making your stay work.

  The size of the apartment is good. Fridge is super clean like never used. The bed and bedsheets very crispy and comfy.. the view from the apartment is stunning overlooking the old quarter. Location is central. The reception is 24 hrs and very attentive.

  Segunda vez que me hospedo aqui e novamente foi ótimo! Quarto super limpo, grande e AC super potente. Academia do prédio é legal e bem equipada.
  
  What could be improved: Sinto falta de mesa e cadeira para refeição. E o ralo do box precisa de manutenção pois não consegue escoar a água direito, então vira uma piscina no box e banhos mais longos (+ 10min) alagam o banheiro.

  Apartamento grande, MUITO limpo e com ar condicionado MUITO potente. Limpeza diária ótima, repunham a agua mineral todos os dias. Maquina de lavar nova e silenciosa. Smart TV nova e grande. Academia grande e bem equipada. Tem vários elevadores então é sempre rápido subir/descer. Quarto silencioso. Cortina blackout eficiente.
  
  What could be improved: Não tem cadeira e mesa para fazer refeiçoes, apesar de ter uma cozinha completa (fogao, forno, microondas, geladeira grande, utensilios), o que não faz muito sentido. Geladeira fazia bastante barulho.
