You know what really surprised me about Pegasy Premium Suites? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to its name – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think in Hanoi’s hotel scene. I mean, when you’re cruising down Âu Cơ street looking for number 399, you might drive past it at first because it doesn’t scream “look at me” like some of the newer builds around Tay Ho. But that’s actually part of its charm.

The location is pretty smart if you ask me. You’re basically planted right in the sweet spot between the chaos of Old Quarter and the expat bubble around West Lake. I could walk to that little cluster of cafés and restaurants that locals actually frequent (not just the tourist traps), and when I needed to get into the city center, the taxi drivers knew exactly where I was without the usual back-and-forth translation attempts. The suites themselves – well, they’re proper suites, not just hotel rooms with a sitting area thrown in as an afterthought. The kitchenette was functional enough that I could brew decent coffee in the morning, though let’s be honest, with all the incredible coffee shops within walking distance, I only used it twice. The beds are that perfect firmness that Vietnamese hotels seem to nail better than most places, and the air conditioning actually works quietly – crucial during those sticky summer months when Hanoi turns into a sauna.

What really sold me though was the staff’s approach to hospitality. They’re not hovering or overly formal, but they seem to genuinely know their neighborhood. When I asked about getting to the Temple of Literature, the front desk guy didn’t just hand me a map – he actually sketched out a route that avoided the worst traffic and pointed out a decent pho place along the way. The 8.3 rating makes sense when you stay there; it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but everything works the way it should. The elevators don’t groan, the WiFi doesn’t drop out during video calls, and housekeeping doesn’t wake you up at 7 AM. Sometimes the simple stuff matters most, especially when you’re dealing with jet lag and trying to figure out a new city. If you’re planning to spend actual time in Hanoi rather than just passing through, this place gives you a solid base without the premium price tag of the international chains closer to Hoan Kiem Lake.

  The place is beautiful and nice.. everything is perfect 😘💛🤗 I highly recommend this place… probably gonna stay here again❣️❤️🤗 when we left our luggage, they allowed us leave them and get them anytime we want after our check-out. Paul and Cris are such hospitable persons..

  The living room and kitchen area was really good. Couch was super comfortable. Loved having a washer and dryer. Staff was very friendly and helpful
  
  What could be improved: The bathtub didn't have any anti slip measures, making it hard to manage. Also only about 5 minutes of hot water, Ok for a shower but for a bath it meant taking over an hour to fill the tub

  The apartments were a good size with lounge/dining area, kitchen with combined laundry included.

  Located in The Westlakes area it was a ten minute walk into the restaurant and bar area, with plenty of selection
  Probably 20-30 min drive into the old quarter of Hanoi and central to most other attractions in Hanoi
  
  What could be improved: Given that these are advertised also as long stay accommodation I believe it would be worth just having some instructions on arrival for the short stays outlining things like how the TV , washing machine etc work, location of closet mini market etc
