Honestly, when I first saw the name of this place, I thought it was going to be one of those overly hyped listings – you know how Airbnb descriptions can get a bit carried away. But this studio on Phan Chu Trinh actually delivers on that “nature light” promise, and I mean really delivers. The windows are massive, and in the morning you get this gorgeous soft light that makes the whole space feel twice as big as it actually is. It’s one of those rare city apartments where you don’t need to flip on lights during the day.

The location is what really gets me though – 57B puts you right in the sweet spot of Hoan Kiem without being stuck in the absolute chaos of the weekend night market crowds. You’re maybe a three-minute walk to the Opera House (which looks stunning when it’s lit up at night, by the way), and the French Quarter vibes are strong on this street. There’s this little coffee shop just down the block that does incredible egg coffee – not the touristy version, but the real deal that locals actually drink. The building itself has a proper elevator, which might sound like nothing until you’ve hauled luggage up four flights of narrow stairs in other parts of the Old Quarter.

What I really appreciate is how the owner set this up – it’s got everything you actually need without feeling cluttered. The kitchen area is compact but functional, there’s decent storage space, and the air conditioning works well (crucial during Hanoi’s sticky summer months). The neighborhood gets lively in the evenings but quiets down after 10 PM, so you’re not dealing with motorbike noise all night like you might closer to Ta Hien. I stayed here during both rainy season and dry season, and that natural light thing holds true year-round – even on overcast days, the space feels bright and airy. The building’s got good security too, which matters when you’re coming and going at different hours exploring the city. If you’re planning to walk everywhere, this spot works perfectly since you can easily reach the lake, the cathedral, and most of the major sights on foot. Just pack light if possible – that elevator is more of a generous closet than a proper lift, but hey, it beats the stairs.

  Superbe chambre dans un quartier proche de lac hoan Kiem mais à l'écart des coins touristiques, nous avons adoré le quartier. La chambre en elle même était spacieuse et très propre, et Tracy la propriétaire est très gentille et disponible.

  Das Zimmer ist sauber und gut ausgestattet. Man hat alles was man benötigt. Die Wohnung ist ruhig trotz zentrale Lage. Der Service ist zu Vorkommen. Die Kommunikation lief einwandfrei. Kommen gerne wieder.

  The hosts are amazing, I been in many countries and cities and is unlikely to find such amicable and helpful host, they solved all the problems I had even they were insignificant and were ready to give me an early check in without questioning, the place is VERY SAFE and not noisy, the location is great too; the bed was extremely comfortable (I say this as a person with problems for sleeping).

  The room is comfortable and very clean. Everything works.
  Location may not suit some people but I found it a very interesting area.
  
  What could be improved: The gate lock is terribly difficult to use. It's all metal, so there is a lot of noise in trying to lock/unlock the gate. We were in the room above the gate, so we heard people coming and going almost every time. It interrupts sleeping.
  There is dust on some high shelves that could be cleaned better.

  We absolutely loved the place and would have loved to stay longer but had to leave.. The apartment has its own kitchen area where you can cook your own foods! It also has a washing machine downstairs and a dryer! Location is excellent and the owner is super friendly and flexible! Big thank you again for the stay! Highly recommended place to stay in Hanoi
