I mean, you’re literally on Vong Thi Street – which, if you know Hanoi, puts you in this perfect sweet spot where you can walk to West Lake in about three minutes but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos of the Old Quarter.

The aparthotel thing works really well here, honestly. These aren’t tiny hotel rooms – you get proper space with kitchenettes that are actually useful (I made coffee every morning and even attempted pho ga one evening, though let’s just say the street vendors do it better). The staff genuinely seems to care about getting things right, which you notice in small ways – they remember your name after day two, and when I mentioned wanting to find good banh mi that wasn’t touristy, the front desk guy drew me a little map to this spot on Xuan Dieu that locals actually use. That kind of attention just… it makes a difference when you’re trying to feel less like a tourist, you know?

What I really appreciated – and this might sound weird – was how they handle the neighborhood integration. Tay Ho can feel a bit expat-heavy sometimes, but staying here you get this nice balance. You’re close enough to the international restaurants and cafes along Xuan Dieu when you want familiar food, but you’re also walking distance from the proper Vietnamese spots that haven’t been sanitized for Western palates. The lake views from some rooms are legitimately gorgeous, especially around sunset when the light hits the water just right and you can see the joggers and couples doing their evening walks. I spent way too many evenings just sitting by the window with a beer from the convenience store downstairs.

The building itself feels solid – none of that thin-wall nonsense where you hear every conversation from the next room. I actually slept well here, which is saying something because Hanoi can be… well, it’s not exactly known for being quiet. Traffic dies down on this street after about 10 PM, and honestly, the gentle hum of motorbikes becomes almost comforting after a while. Check-in was smooth, parking is sorted if you’re brave enough to rent a motorbike (though I’d recommend just using Grab – the drivers know exactly where this place is), and the Wi-Fi actually works consistently, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to navigate a city or stay connected with home.

  The apartment was equipped with a washing machine and kitchen. Every room had a TV and Netflix was available. The location is located closely to the Westlake and cafes.
  
  What could be improved: The breakfast was ok, if you are staying there for one or two nights. For a longer stay the choice of breakfast is limited and boring.

  The executive suite was perfect for 4 nights in Hanoi. We had a kitchen, separate bedroom, washer/dryer, and a living room with a smart tv. Loved the staff! They were so so nice!! If we ever come back to Hanoi, we will definitely stay again ❤️

  Great stay, the staff was super kind and helpful (thank you again, especially to Jenna, you are the best!), we left our luggage for one week while we did a loop of the north without any problems. The rooms were exactly like the pictures. The position is also very good, you can call a grab car or motorbike anytime anyway and it’s a 10/15’ drive to go to the old or French quarter!

  wanted us to book a hotel in the French Quarter as booking.com recommended the hotel to be the location I mentioned in the key search but it wasn't so the area is quite noisy, if you have trouble sleeping better choose another option. .
