Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “Railway Side” in the name, I braced myself for constant train noise. But you know what? WECOZY actually nailed the location thing. Yeah, you can hear the trains if you really listen, but it’s more like this gentle urban rhythm that somehow becomes oddly comforting after the first night. Plus, being right there on Tống Duy Tân puts you literally thirty seconds from the chaos of Hoan Kiem’s main streets, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the motorbike symphony at 6 AM.

The thing about this place is it gets the Old Quarter vibe without trying too hard. I mean, you’re still going to smell the street food from downstairs (honestly, follow that smell – there’s this incredible bánh mì cart that sets up right around the corner every morning around 7). The rooms are actually modern and clean, which – let’s be real – isn’t always a given in this part of Hanoi. They’ve got proper AC that works, decent Wi-Fi, and the beds are comfortable enough that you won’t wake up feeling like you wrestled with a brick. What I really appreciated was the attention to small stuff – good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, and outlets positioned where you can actually use them.

The staff here really knows their neighborhood. When I asked about avoiding the tourist traps, the front desk guy drew me a little map showing which alleys to take to get to the good phở place (not the one everyone posts on Instagram), and he was spot-on. That’s the kind of local knowledge that makes a difference when you’re trying to navigate the beautiful maze that is the Old Quarter. The 9.2 rating makes sense once you stay here – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Hanoi, but it delivers on the basics really well and throws in those little extras that show someone’s actually thinking about what travelers need. I’d definitely stay here again, especially since you can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in about three minutes, but you’re tucked away enough to actually get some sleep.

  The place was nice and it was right next to the railway and you could easily walk to it within minutes. The places to eat are quite nice. The staff are very helpful and really make for a better experience.
  
  It was placed pretty central, so if you wanted to get somewhere you could easily get there with grab or ride your own scooter.

  The appartment is located in the main touristic area of the city, but as it is a 7th floor you are away from the noise plus you have amazing views of the area (you can even see the train passing the nearby street). All the rooms are facing outside so you have almost 360 degrees view of the city. The appartment was super clean and modern. We used both the kitchen and the washing machine, which was a big plus for us. The beds were very comfy and there are 3 aircon machines in the apartment (one in each room + one in the living room). The team at the recepcion were very friendly and assisted us when we had questions or need anything. We recommend 100% this appartment and will be back to it whenever visit Hanoi. THANKS!

  The best place we have stayed in Vietnam. Next to the trains street. A lot of food and cafe around the hotel, the staff served us the best and helped us in every possible way. They even turn on the heater for us before we arrive at the hotel for shower.

  We had the best time here- we literally were all stunned when we walked into the apartment.. the photos really don’t do it justice, it was huge! Was very clean and the beds were comfy was in the best location to explore! Would love to stay again if we came back to Hanoi!
