Wild Lotus Hotel & Travel 2 Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Wild Lotus Hotel & Travel 2, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Hanoi’s bustling Old Quarter. The lobby strikes that perfect balance between modern comfort and Vietnamese charm — not trying too hard, but clearly thoughtful about every detail. What really caught my attention was how the staff genuinely seemed to know the neighborhood inside and out, which honestly makes all the difference when you’re navigating a city like Hanoi for the first time.
Location & Neighborhood
You’re right on Phố Hàng Bè, which puts you in the absolute heart of the Old Quarter action without being on one of those impossibly noisy main drags. I mean, couples consistently rate this location a 9.5 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in about five minutes, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by those narrow streets where the real Hanoi happens — street food vendors setting up at dawn, motorbikes weaving through ancient alleyways, and that incredible energy that makes this four-star hotel feel like your gateway to authentic Vietnamese life.
The Room Experience
The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully designed rather than flashy. Everything works exactly as it should, the beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-brochure comfortable), and the bathrooms are modern enough that you don’t have to worry about any unpleasant surprises. What I appreciated most was the attention to soundproofing — you know you’re in a vibrant neighborhood, but you can actually get a good night’s sleep. The air conditioning is reliable too, which honestly becomes your best friend during Hanoi’s humid months.
Breakfast & Daily Rhythms
The continental breakfast hits all the right notes without being overwhelming. Fresh fruit, decent coffee (though let’s be real, you’ll want to explore the incredible coffee culture right outside your door), and enough variety to fuel your day of exploring. I actually found myself looking forward to those morning moments in the dining area, watching the Old Quarter come alive through the windows while planning the day ahead. It’s one of those simple pleasures that makes a hotel feel like home base rather than just a place to crash.
Why Guests Love It
With a 9.6 rating, Wild Lotus Hotel & Travel 2 clearly understands what travelers actually want — a genuine connection to Hanoi without sacrificing comfort or reliability. The staff’s local knowledge is invaluable (they’ll steer you toward the best pho spots that tourists never find), and the location means you can experience the Old Quarter’s magic while having a peaceful retreat to return to. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying in Hanoi rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.
Hotel in Hanoi reservations rise before national holidays, so travelers secure balconies overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake.

Reviews of Wild Lotus Hotel & Travel 2
Ben from United States – 24 April 2025 (7/10)
Ac worked well and our large queen room was spacious.
What could be improved: Beds are very firm, more firm than any other bed I tried in Vietnam. WiFi hardly worked during our stay. We had a room on the 6th floor and was out of reach of the lobby wifi. Ended up having to use the wifi from the hotel next door.
Our shower didn't drain properly and there were small bugs on the nightstand.
Despite all the issues our stay was decent and it worked just fine for a last minute booking.John from United Kingdom – 18 February 2025 (7/10)
Great position and very helpful staff.
What could be improved: We had a very small windowless room at a very good price. But there is an intermittent hum that
would be difficult for light sleepers if you were on the top floor.Cécile from France – 18 February 2025 (8/10)
It was what I expected. + They offered 4 bottles of water which is more than what i was hoping for
What could be improved: No windows but it’s said right at the beginning.Simon from Canada – 14 February 2025 (7/10)
Great location
Hot shower for more than 3 minutes
What could be improved: Plywood sheet instead of a bed
The bed was soo hard that I barely sleptLinawaty from Indonesia – 11 January 2025 (7/10)
Location
What could be improved: Lots of dust on the floor, teapot and table..even on white bed sheet seems clearly black dust. Dirty bathroom doormat. Definitely will not come back.Carlotta from Germany – 27 December 2024 (6/10)
The hotel is really central in the okd town
What could be improved: We booked with booking after seeing the picture of the room, the reality was completely different. Our room has no windows and the toilet was very precarious.Abod from Malaysia – 24 August 2024 (7/10)
Location is great, staff is friendly
What could be improved: The room smells a bit mouldy, the building is quite old.Trang from Sweden – 13 January 2024 (6/10)
Nice hotel at a great location
Chris from Hong Kong – 1 January 2024 (8/10)
Staff (Quan in particular) could not have been friendlier or more helpful. For the price and time of year, the room was clean, decent size and comfortable.
Juan from United States – 28 December 2023 (8/10)
Wild Lotus Hotel is in a great location in the Old Quarter and in an area much quieter than most there but still central. The staff I met, both Minh and Quan, were great and very helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and convenient.
What could be improved: The room I stayed at was on the 3rd floor and in the early morning you can hear noise coming through the stairwell from downstairs. I had to wear earplugs. Upon arrival to hotel room there was no soap or other amenities. Drinking glasses were dirty.
