You know what struck me first about this Vinhomes Green Bay apartment? The elevator ride up – and I mean that in a good way. The whole complex feels genuinely upscale without being stuffy, which honestly isn’t something you find everywhere in Hanoi. Once you’re inside the actual unit, it’s clear someone put real thought into making this feel like home rather than just another rental. The living space flows nicely, and there’s this cozy corner by the window where I ended up spending most mornings with coffee, watching the city wake up below.

The location on Thăng Long Boulevard is actually pretty brilliant if you think about it. Sure, it’s not right in the Old Quarter where all the tourists cluster, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re in Nam Từ Liêm district, which means you get that local Hanoi vibe without the constant motorbike honking at 6 AM (well, less of it anyway). The Mễ Trì area has really developed over the past few years – there’s a solid mix of local eateries and more polished spots within walking distance. I found this little bánh mì place about five minutes away that became my daily routine, and honestly, the owners started recognizing me by day three. What I really appreciated was how easy it was to grab a taxi or Grab to the city center when I wanted to dive into the tourist stuff – usually took about 20 minutes depending on traffic, which in Hanoi terms is pretty reasonable.

The apartment itself lives up to that 4-star rating, though I’d say it’s more about the thoughtful details than flashy amenities. The kitchen actually functions (you’d be surprised how rare that is), the Wi-Fi didn’t drop out during video calls, and the air conditioning worked without sounding like a helicopter landing. Small things, but they matter when you’re staying more than a couple nights. The building has decent security and the parking situation is sorted if you’re renting a motorbike – which, let’s be honest, you probably should in Hanoi. One thing I noticed was how quiet it gets at night compared to other parts of the city. You’ll still hear some street noise because, well, it’s Vietnam, but nothing that kept me awake. The whole Vinhomes complex has this almost suburban feel while still being connected to everything that makes Hanoi exciting. At 8.2 rating from other guests, it seems like I’m not the only one who found this sweet spot between comfort and authenticity.

  베트남은 그랩으로 돌아다니기에 외곽에 있은 숙소를 좀더 선호합니다.
  그린베이는 외곽에있으면서 주변 먹거리,마트 잘되있어서 부족함없이 잘다녀왔어요
  호수산책또한 근처에있어서 좋았습니다.

  This was a nice little room to stay in. It had everything I needed and the host was really helpful and communicative. I needed to extend my stay for a few extra nights and it was no problem at all.
  The facilities were great and the wifi was really fast.
  The location was perfect for me because I was staying in Hanoi for work and it was right around the corner from the office. However, if you’re visiting the city for sightseeing then it’s worth noting that it’s a bit of a way out from the heart of things. There are quite a few corner shops and restaurants within walking distance, which was really handy.
  
  What could be improved: The kitchen and bathroom were a little dirty when I first arrived with some sticky patches and spillages. There were plenty of cleaning products under the sink though so I gave everything a scrub over when I first got there. I must add that the sheets were spotless and I think that’s the most important thing.
