What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between modern comfort and actually feeling like you’re in Vietnam. The rooms are genuinely well-appointed (I’m talking proper air conditioning that actually works during those brutal summer months), but they haven’t gone overboard trying to make everything feel like a generic international hotel. You’ll still hear the gentle hum of motorbikes in the morning – which, let’s be honest, is part of the Hanoi experience – but it’s not the overwhelming roar you get on the main drags. The staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re trying to navigate a new city. They helped me figure out the best times to visit the nearby markets (early morning, before 8 AM if you want to see it at its most authentic), and their taxi recommendations were spot-on – no tourist markup nonsense.

The location really shines when you realize you’re walking distance from West Lake, but also just a quick xe om ride from Ba Dinh Square when you want to do the official sightseeing thing. I actually ended up spending most evenings just wandering around Truc Bach’s narrow streets, grabbing bánh mì from the vendor who sets up right around the corner (she’s there every day around 4 PM), then heading back to the hotel’s common area to plan the next day. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout the building – important if you’re trying to navigate Google Maps or stay in touch with folks back home. Honestly, for a 4-star place with a 9 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for without any of those weird surprises that sometimes come with boutique spots in Southeast Asia. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere special, but you’re not paying for a bunch of amenities you’ll never use.

  Great room, spacious and comfortable. Location is pretty out the way, especially if you are only visiting Hanoi for a short time. There was a mix-up when we checked in as they put us in the wrong room by accident. The man downstairs wasn’t too friendly when this happened. Otherwise great stay. Free water refill and has a lift.

  The staff were extremely helpful and available to message through WhatsApp if there were any issues. They easily extended our stay for us so we could spend more time in Hanoi. The room was clean and spacious. Nice location not too far from the old quarter.

  We had a absolutely great stay in this place, we stayed for one week. The apartment was spacious, very clean, had a nice little kitchen, the bed was comfortable and the location perfect. It's next to West lake so it's great for some cleaner air and walks but it's also not far from the old town, you can reach a lot in 15min walk or a short taxi ride. The staff was great, very helpful and the laundry service was good too. We would definitely stay here again.
