ANNAM Panorama Lakeview – Garden & Balcony – WestLake Overview
First Impressions
You know what struck me first about ANNAM Panorama Lakeview – Garden & Balcony – WestLake? It’s tucked away in this narrow alley off Au Co Street, and honestly, I almost missed it. But once you’re inside, the whole vibe shifts — suddenly you’re looking out at West Lake through floor-to-ceiling windows, and the city noise just fades away. This four-star property has that boutique feel where everything’s been thought through, from the modern Vietnamese design touches to the way natural light floods the lobby. The staff actually remembered my name after one night, which doesn’t happen often in Hanoi hotels.
The Tay Ho Advantage
Here’s the thing about staying in Tay Ho district — you’re getting the best of both worlds without the tourist chaos. The hotel sits right on the edge of West Lake, which means morning walks along the water and some of the city’s best coffee shops within a five-minute stroll. I mean, you can hit up Summit Lounge for sunset drinks or grab bánh mì from the local vendors who know their stuff. What couples really love (and I get why they rated the location 8.7) is how romantic the lakeside evenings are, plus you’ve got easy motorbike access to the Old Quarter when you want that energy.
Room with a View
The rooms live up to that “panorama” promise — I had a corner unit with both garden and lake views, and the balcony became my favorite spot for morning coffee. Everything’s clean and modern, though not flashy, with dark wood furniture and these great blackout curtains that actually work. The air conditioning is powerful (trust me, you’ll need it), and the bathroom has a proper rain shower. Actually, the little details matter here — good WiFi, plenty of outlets, and a minibar that’s not ridiculously overpriced.
Practical Perks
One thing that sets ANNAM Panorama Lakeview apart is the free parking situation — and in Hanoi, that’s genuinely valuable. Whether you’re renting a motorbike or somehow brave enough to drive here, having secure parking on-site removes a major headache. The front desk helps with motorbike rentals and actually gives decent directions (not always a given). They also handle laundry quickly, which matters when you’re traveling light in Vietnam’s humidity.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest hotel in Hanoi, but it gets the fundamentals right in ways that matter. The location score of 8.9 from recent guests isn’t just numbers — it reflects how well-positioned you are for both relaxation and exploration. You’re away from the backpacker crowds but still connected to everything that makes Hanoi special. The combination of lake views, genuine hospitality, and that sweet spot pricing makes it work for couples who want something special without breaking the bank. Plus, there’s something satisfying about discovering a place that feels like your own little secret in this massive, chaotic city.

Reviews of ANNAM Panorama Lakeview – Garden & Balcony – WestLake
Katie from United States – 13 January 2025 (7/10)
It is a nice big space with a nice view and a serviceable kitchen. It was quiet, which is so hard to find in Hanoi, and nice walking distance from Tay Ho and the flower market. They had a washer dryer we could use too which was nice.
What could be improved: For the price, we expected it to be much more clean and comfortable. It felt like a long term rental that had just been left. Stickers on the walls, something moulding in the kettle, random stuff in the closet so it wasn't really usable, a random mattress in the living room. The place has nice bones, but felt like it needed a deep clean and a tidy to match the price.William from France – 29 December 2024 (5/10)
What could be improved: Ce n’était pas propre, les placards étaient vides et en mauvais état, l’emplacement est vraiment isolé

There were all essential facilities in the room, including tableware and cutlery. The room was clean and spacey. We liked the small balcony as well
What could be improved: Location is nice but there were problems with calling a taxi. Some of the drivers were confused by the tiny streets in this area and refused to drop us in the spot we pointed on the mapLinh from Japan – 4 September 2024 (8/10)

The room was bright and beautiful and the bed was so comfy. The location was also great and close to many coffee shops and restaurants.
What could be improved: The fact that there wasn’t an elevator was a little annoying and something I wish I checked before I came!Bernard from Vietnam – 13 July 2024 (8/10)
The room is so cute, I really love the design, thinking about coming back for a monthly stay next time I'm in Hanoi.
It was perfectly cleaned, equipped with everything I need, large windows with a beautiful lake view.
The location is good, very quiet at night, and the services around are easy to access in walking distance.
What could be improved: The location is kinda difficult for me to find as the first time I travelled there but the host was very supportive and kind. She asked me where was I and come right away to lead me and also helped me with the luggage. I really appreciate that!!Hendrik from Netherlands – 12 July 2024 (8/10)
This place is specially peaceful to me. Lakefront, speechless view, quiet, I enjoy my yoga in the morning.
I will come back for long term stay if I have chance to visit againJoseph from Vietnam – 5 April 2024 (8/10)
