Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place called “Warm Hanoi” – I mean, the whole city’s pretty warm most of the year anyway, right? But walking into this two-bedroom spot on Hang Gai Street, I actually got what they were going for. There’s something genuinely cozy about the place that goes beyond just the name. The location is sort of perfect if you’re one of those people who wants to be right in the thick of things but still have a proper apartment to retreat to. You’re literally a three-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, which means you can do that tourist thing where you watch the locals doing tai chi at sunrise (and trust me, it’s worth getting up early for), then grab proper coffee and pho within about thirty seconds of stepping outside.

What really sold me on this place was how it manages to feel like an actual home rather than just another serviced apartment. The two bedrooms are spacious enough that you’re not tripping over each other – I’ve stayed in places in the Old Quarter where you can barely fit a suitcase, but here you’ve got room to actually unpack and spread out. The kitchen’s properly equipped too, which is clutch because while the street food around here is incredible, sometimes you just want to make your own coffee in the morning without having to get dressed and navigate the motorbike traffic on Hang Gai. Speaking of which – yeah, it can get noisy, but honestly that’s part of the Old Quarter experience. The double-glazed windows help more than you’d think, and by the second night you’ll probably find the street sounds oddly comforting.

The building itself sits right in the heart of the silk street action (Hang Gai translates to “silk street,” which you’ll figure out pretty quickly from all the shops), so you’re surrounded by galleries, tailors, and those tourist-trap-but-actually-decent lacquerware places. But here’s the thing locals know – duck down some of the tiny alleys around here and you’ll find family-run restaurants that don’t even have English menus, serving food that’s absolutely incredible for like two dollars. The staff at Warm Hanoi seemed to get this; they gave me a hand-drawn map with spots marked that definitely weren’t in any guidebook I’d seen. Check-in was smooth, no drama with the key cards, and they were pretty flexible about letting me store luggage after checkout while I wandered around for my last few hours. You know what impressed me most? The 8.6 rating actually feels about right – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it nails what it’s going for. If you want to live like a local for a few days rather than just passing through, this is your spot.

The balcony offers stunning views of the city, allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere.   This is a quaint little unit right in the heart of Hanoi. The location and value was exceptional. There is a lovely balcony that looks over the street and to each side of the balcony is a little kitchen to one side and the bathroom to the other. The bathroom is one room with a toilet and shower in a small space. A little different but it works.
  
  What could be improved: There was no sign to know you found the correct place. The unit is down a little alley and up some stairs on the 2nd floor. So a sign would have been useful. Saying that I called the owner and they were there within 10 minutes.
