Aquarius Grand Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Aquarius Grand Hotel on Nguyen Huu Huan Street, you immediately get that “this is exactly where I want to be” feeling. The lobby isn’t trying too hard to impress — it’s got this comfortable, welcoming vibe that makes you think the owners actually care about their guests. What really struck me was how the staff seemed genuinely happy to see people arrive, not just going through the motions like at some places.
Perfect Hanoi Location
Honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot in Hanoi. This three-star hotel sits right in the heart of Hoan Kiem district, which means you’re literally steps away from the Old Quarter’s maze of street food stalls and tiny shops. I mean, you can walk to Hoan Kiem Lake in about three minutes — I timed it because I’m that kind of person. The couples who stay here absolutely love the location, and I get why. There’s something romantic about being able to stroll to all those little cafes and night markets without dealing with taxis or figuring out directions.
The Room Experience
You know what surprised me most? The beds are actually incredible. I’ve stayed at fancier places where I tossed and turned all night, but here I slept like a rock. The room itself isn’t huge — this is Hanoi, after all — but everything feels thoughtfully arranged. The air conditioning works properly (trust me, you’ll appreciate this), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The windows let in good natural light, which makes the space feel bigger than it actually is.
Morning Fuel
The continental breakfast gets the job done without any fuss. You’ve got your standard eggs, bread, fruit, and coffee — nothing fancy, but it’s fresh and fills you up before a day of exploring. What I liked was that they actually had decent Vietnamese coffee alongside the western options. The breakfast area overlooks the street, so you can watch Hanoi wake up while you eat, which is honestly half the entertainment.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this is a comfortable three-star hotel, and it does exactly what it sets out to do. What Aquarius Grand Hotel does really well is nail the basics while putting you right where you want to be in the city. The location score of 9.6 isn’t just a number — it reflects how easy this place makes everything. You can walk to the night market, grab pho on the corner, or catch a taxi to the airport without any hassle. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so they’ll point you toward the good stuff tourists usually miss. For the price point, you’re getting solid comfort and an unbeatable location, which is exactly what most people actually need when they’re exploring Hanoi.
Hotel in Hanoi reservations rise before national holidays, so travelers secure balconies overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake.

The staff are all caring and exceptional people, the location is very close to the lake, the Night Market and all the many Hanoi attractions. Helped us book an overnight boat cruise through Ha Long Bay and recommend nearby restaurants. Great location in the character Old Quarter, comfy bed in a cozy room, clean bathroom and a great fresh breakfast made each morning. Loved it here!!

The hotel was fine, the staff was super nice. Location was excellent.
What could be improved: On the negative side, the room has an internal window. We had not seen any information about this beforehand, so this was a bit disappointing.Xuan from United States – 15 March 2025 (9/10)
