Bespoke Trendy Hotel Hanoi Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Bespoke Trendy Hotel Hanoi, I was expecting another one of those generic boutique places that’s all style and no substance. But this little gem on Nguyen Quang Bich actually surprised me. The location is what really sold me, tucked away in the Old Quarter but not on one of those tourist-packed streets where you can’t hear yourself think. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, which means you can actually enjoy an early morning jog around the water before the motorbike chaos begins (trust me, 6 AM is your sweet spot). The staff remembered my name by day two, which doesn’t sound like much until you realize how rare that is in a city where hotels turn over guests like clockwork.
What I loved most was how they’ve managed to feel both modern and respectful of the neighborhood’s character. The rooms aren’t huge – this is Hanoi’s Old Quarter, after all – but they’re thoughtfully designed with these gorgeous dark wood accents that somehow make the space feel bigger than it is. The air conditioning actually works (you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue here), and the beds are properly firm, not those squishy mattresses you sometimes get stuck with. The bathroom situation is particularly well done – they’ve got this rainfall shower that has serious water pressure, which honestly made my day after walking around the humid streets. You know what really impressed me though? The soundproofing. Despite being right in the heart of everything, I could barely hear the street noise at night, and anyone who’s spent time in Hanoi knows that’s practically a miracle.
The breakfast situation is where they really shine – it’s this perfect mix of Vietnamese and Western options, and their pho is legitimately good (I mean, it’s not street cart level, but for a hotel, I was impressed). The rooftop area gives you this great view over the tiled roofs toward the lake, especially nice in the evening when the light hits just right. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just works the way it should. If you’re planning to explore the Old Quarter properly, this is the kind of base you want: comfortable, well-located, and run by people who actually seem to care about whether you have a good time. Just book early if you’re coming during festival season – I learned that the hard way on my second visit.

Really lovely hotel that felt incredibly calm and welcoming after being in the bustling city. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful.

This is my favourite hotel in Hanoi. Located in the heart of the old quarter, one street back from Train street, a short walk from the lake and beer street, this location can't get much better! The staff are amazing! So attentive and friendly. Breakfast was beautiful. The rooms are a good size and had a very comfortable bed. Highly recommend

Welcome – we were made feel special from the minute we walked through the door. Van Anh looked after from arrival to departure.
Staff – Van Anh and all staff made us feel special and provided exceptional service. We had a warm welcome when we returned from our trips every day. Anh also arranged three tours for us – these were also of very high standard. The City Guided Tour and Halong Bay Tour were of very high quality – not to be missed. Also Ninh Binh tour was also very good.
Room – effective air conditioning and comfortable environment after our daily travelling. The beds were extremely comfortable – and a choice of pillow softness/hardness was a nice touch.
Food – good choice of food at breakfast/ good quality, excellent service – we ate at the restaurant two nights, high quality food – I recommend the beef tenderloin in bamboo evening meal
The thoughtfulness and care of the staff made this stay very special for us.
Roomservice/cleaning was also exemplar – faultless but not intrusive.
Hotel – location was superb – allowed us to get a feel for the local culture and activities
Laundry service – very useful, reasonable and delivered within the same day.
Taxi transfer to and from the hotel – ordering and delivery was seamless.
We felt the staff really cared about our holiday experience/enjoyment. Thank you Anh and the team – you went beyond the call of duty.
What could be improved: Leaving the hotel and going home.
We can't think of anything that would be worth highlighting.
If we raised any queries or asked for anything – this was actioned immediately – within minutes. Fantastic management.David from Australia – 20 April 2025 (10/10)
The staff, especially David were so helpful and friendly. They made everything easy. The location is great, a little bit of calm in the busy city

The staff were outstanding, they went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after.
Great breakfast and super comfortable beds. Really central location next to train street.
What could be improved: We could hear noise from adjacent room, but I use earplugs so wasn’t too bad. The manager was great and took our feedback.Angela from United States – 26 March 2025 (10/10)
Wonderful hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter. The suite was very spacious and comfortable and the staff were amazing, especially David who checked in with us regularly and arranged our luggage transfer to our next hotel. The breakfast was outstanding.

The lovely staff, the perfect location, the clean spacious room, the excellent dinner (including pasta al dente) and the best and most sumptuous breakfast we had during our visit to Vietnam.

Location, the food and staff were all exceptional
What could be improved: On arrival, the first night, the room allocated was too small. The staff couldn't do enough to help and we were moved to a larger room for the nights afterwards, when it became available.Jaime from United States – 17 February 2025 (10/10)
The staff were exceptional! They helped me get an emergency expedited Visa despite the holiday season. In addition, they took great care of our dietary needs, even providing us with to-go breakfast boxes for our early morning departure. Vu was also wonderful and communicated with us daily on What's app, providing suggestions for things to do and arranging a birthday cake for us, making sure we were well taken care of each day. Even on his day off, Vu was in communication with us and made a special very early morning appearance at the hotel on the day of our departure, just to say goodbye!
What could be improved: everything was perfect!
