Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Hanoi hotels, and Bi Eco Suites genuinely caught me off guard – in the best way possible. When you first walk into this place on Điện Biên Phủ, you’re not getting that typical sterile hotel lobby experience. Instead, it feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need after a long day wandering around the Old Quarter (which, honestly, can be exhausting with all those motorbikes and the humid chaos). The staff here – and I mean this – they remember your name after one night, which is sort of rare for a 4-star place that’s clearly doing well with bookings.

What really sets this spot apart is how they’ve nailed the “eco” part without making it feel like you’re roughing it. The suites are spacious enough that you can actually unpack your suitcase completely, and the air conditioning works properly – crucial during those sticky summer months when Hanoi feels like a sauna. You know what I appreciated most? The water pressure in the shower is excellent, and the beds are firm without being uncomfortable. Small things, but they matter when you’re dealing with jet lag or you’ve been walking around Hoan Kiem Lake all day. The soundproofing is pretty decent too, which you’ll appreciate since Điện Biên Phủ can get busy with traffic, though it’s nothing compared to the motorbike symphony you’d hear closer to the city center.

The location is actually perfect if you want to be near the action but not right in the thick of it. You’re about a 10-minute walk from the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum – great for early morning visits before the crowds hit – and it’s an easy taxi ride to the Old Quarter when you want that authentic street food experience. There’s a decent coffee shop right around the corner (the locals go there, which is always a good sign), and honestly, the whole Ba Dinh district feels more residential and calm compared to staying right in the tourist zone. The hotel’s breakfast is solid – not just the usual continental spread, but they include some Vietnamese options that don’t feel like tourist versions. I mean, you’ll still want to venture out for proper pho, but it’s nice to have real options in-house. With a 9.2 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after staying there twice now, I can see why people keep coming back. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without the pretentious attitude you sometimes get at boutique hotels.

  Clean, modern and big suite. The staff was very nice. We were upgraded for free. Washing laundry was fast and efficient. We were very happy with our first stay, so I booked the accommodation again. 🙂

  The property was tucked away in a residential area and also near the army installation. People around were really nice to show us where was the location as we were lost on our first day. It was away from the main road so there was no road noise at all.
  
  What could be improved: Its hidden and a little hard to find but once you know where the location. You can easily find it. Also, we wished the pressure of the shower was stronger. Its stronger when we switched to cold water but not when we switched to hot water but we ustand its all about going green and using less.

  What could be improved: The check in system is bad no stuff there after 5pm. You need to do that by yourself and you need internet for that. That was only one bad things there.

  What could be improved: only one bin in the bathroom which makes utilising the kitchen difficult. check-in process was difficult as property was hard to find and no one was initially at reception. short reception hours meant we were unable to get washing done. the advert made it sound like the property had a washing machine available at no extra cost however this was not the case.
