I actually ended up spending way more time there than I planned because, well, after walking around Hanoi’s Old Quarter all day (those streets will wear you out), their treatment rooms became my refuge. The massage therapists really know their stuff – not the rushed, touristy kind you get at some places, but proper therapeutic work that actually helped with the neck crick I’d developed from constantly looking up at all those incredible French colonial buildings. The whole spa area has this zen vibe going on, and you can actually hear the subtle sounds of the city filtering in, which I found oddly relaxing rather than distracting. It reminded me that I was still in the heart of Hanoi, not some sterile bubble.

What I really appreciated – and this might sound weird – was how the staff handled the whole “being in a busy neighborhood” thing. Because let’s be real, Hoan Kiem district can get pretty lively, especially in the evenings when everyone’s out eating and the motorbikes are doing their usual symphony. But somehow the rooms stay surprisingly quiet (good windows, I guess?), and the front desk always seemed to know exactly when the best times were to head out. They’d casually mention things like “oh, if you’re going to that pho place on Bat Dan Street, maybe wait another hour – it’s packed right now” – that kind of local insight you just can’t get from reading reviews online. The 7.5 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything works well and feels thoughtfully done. The rooms are comfortable without being over-the-top, breakfast is solid Vietnamese and international options, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. When you step out the front door, you’re immediately in the flow of real Hanoi life, not tourist-land.

  Rooms are clean and breakfast is good. Walking distance to old quarter. Easy to find hotel with easy road side parking. I drove my car there and the neighbourhood is safe.
