The staff seemed surprised when I mentioned I’d walked to the nearby Vincom Center – apparently most guests just grab taxis everywhere, but the walk is actually pleasant once you get used to the organized chaos of Hanoi traffic.

The apartments themselves are spacious in a way that’ll spoil you for regular hotel rooms. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit and could actually spread out my stuff without playing Tetris with my suitcase. The kitchen was fully functional (not just for show), which was clutch because sometimes you just want to make coffee at 6 AM without getting dressed and navigating the elevator. Speaking of elevators – they’re surprisingly quiet, and the building never felt crowded even though it’s pretty sizable. The air conditioning worked like a dream, which… if you’ve spent any time in Hanoi’s summer humidity, you’ll understand why that’s worth mentioning. One small thing though – the WiFi occasionally got a bit spotty during evening hours when everyone was streaming, but nothing deal-breaking.

What really sold me on this place was how it struck this balance between being comfortable for longer stays but still feeling special enough for a vacation. The building’s got this modern Vietnamese aesthetic that doesn’t try too hard – clean lines, good lighting, but not sterile. And the location really grows on you. Initially I thought being slightly off the main tourist trail might be inconvenient, but it actually meant I discovered parts of Hanoi I probably would’ve missed otherwise. There’s this incredible bún chả place about three blocks away that I never would’ve found if I’d stayed in the Old Quarter, and the morning routine of watching the neighborhood wake up from my apartment window became oddly addictive. The 8.9 rating makes total sense – it’s the kind of place where small details are handled well, from the check-in process (surprisingly smooth) to the housekeeping (thorough but not intrusive). If you’re planning to stay in Hanoi for more than just a quick tourist sprint, or if you’re one of those travelers who likes feeling temporarily local rather than obviously foreign, this spot delivers without making a big show of it.
